You have achieved your current limit of pistol weapons experience.

Ack...**edit**....all that weapons experience suddenly deducted? What is going on here? I spent weeks upon weeks earning it.

The cap of XP your XP pool can hold is roughly twice as much XP as it takes to get your next highest skill level. So, if would take 20,000XP to get your next level, you can hold 40,000XP in your pool. Some skills havedifferent caps, most notably CH's, where a CH can only pool the amount to get their next skill +20,000XP.

Lets say you needed 20,000XP(cap of 40,000XP) for your next level, and had 35,000XP in your pool. Then you surrender a skill so your new cap is 20,000XP. Your 35,000XP would remain untouched UNTIL you got the next point of XP in that skill. As soon as you get even 1 point of XP, the game does a check to see if you are at your limit and will strip any XP you have over your current cap. In the case of my example, If I were to earn another point of XP, I would lose 15,000XP to get me back to my cap of 20,000XP.

So, if you have a stock pile of pistol XP that you want to keep, and reverse your pistol skills for whatever reason, don't ever use a pistol again, switch to a carbine and you will be able to keep XP past your XP cap. As soon as you get even 1 pistol XP, your XP pool will instantly be dropped back to its' cap.

Cheers,

Juba

Son of a Gun , I had the same thing happen to me the other day , i lost 80k combat points surrendering support skill , i flipped , i was about to get my knockdown and bam it all went down the toilet . I placed a Ticket in , but i havent been on to see if they will replace the points. I dont play much so those points are very costly to me .

Why are there XP Pool caps anyway? What reasonable purpose does it possibly serve? I think there should not be a limit on the amount of XP you can acumulate. Experience is experience...you should never lose it.

It limits you so that you cant drop 1 master fully and get another one right away. You have to work at it again.
