Hey, i just have a quick question for all you fellow pistoleers out there.... Does the dx2 still suck? I have an fw5 that has better range, top end damage, and speed. Don't get me wrong, as long as i am at point blank range.... other than that, i get neg to hit from anywhere... and yes it is sliced. If this is the best gun for a pistoleer... than i maybe i just got a bad pistol. I am on Sunrunner, what luck has everyone else had with this pos so far?

Until they fix the armor piercing mod, yes it will suck. The gun doesn't work like it's supposed to, soitis thus underpowered(see long posts in the forum about how you lose the AR1 against mobs with vulnerability to acid).

I've permanently holstered mine until they fix it, since all I'd be doing is making the thing decay like a bi-otch.

I guess I've been paying attention and didn't realize that the DX2 wasn't all that great. If it's not, then what would be better?

Should be better for obvious reasons. However vs. Tuskins it's better than a scout....barely.

Some things it works really well against, I noticed I could decimate dewbacks with it. As long as the thing we jumping all over, any thing over about 10m away and I cant hit anything. I just wish our final weapon cert was a little more impressive.

Yes and Contrary to RIflemans retarded beliefs Dx2 is not that good ranged.. really need to get within 19 meters to hit well when running and such

On Bria, couple of weeks ago we must have had some good platinite copper spawn, and DX2's got significantly better.

Still much weaker in raw stats than say a scout or an FWG. But better.

But still, if i'm fighting a voritor tracker, or about half the things on Lok, then it's really the only way to go.

If DX2 is still weaker than a FWG/Scout then they still are crap on your server.

They're okay on my server... but when you factor in the crappy accuracy of the DX2 plus the fact that it's armor piercing doesn't work, you're usually better off with an FWG5 or Scout, on my server at least.

hmm, my fwg5 seems a lot better than a dx2, against unarmored targets at least. what are the stats on yours?

mine's got adamage slice, made by probably the best weaponsmith on kauri, and it's 113-180 2.8 speed.

it started at i believe 96-153 2.8 before slice.

same guy made my fwg5, started off 52-201 2.1 speed and was slicedto 69-267

I use FWG5 also, DX2 sucks. We are supposedly getting more guns added to our profession sooner or later. I am waiting for that day....
