I ve been running around in a body suit & now decided to purchase some armour.

I understand helmets slow down the recovery of the mind pool but still probably a good idea to have one.

I suppose i should be putting this question to an armoursmith but here goes.

Composite armour with a slice would be the best..do you all agree or perhaps go for something lighter.

Finally, Im on LOK most of the time working on building up my pistol XP..about half way to Novice pistoleer now...Blimey it seems to take forever..Im playing 5 days a week !!

I always use sliced Composite as well ... in PvP I don't use anything other than helmet, breastplate, and leggings.

Thanks for the answer, thats good news because I think as of right now my padded is higher than 350 in the secondaries. Is it good for PvE cause that is mostly what I would use it for, is it a real killer on action costs?

I'm a big fan of my reb faction armor, crazy light and %30 resists accross the board. I know there is stronger composite out there but that stuff is crazy heavy. strength/weight my faction armor rules.

Is there anyone who is a zabrak that wears a full suit of composite? It was a bitch for me to get a suit of padded on and I cant even put on the helmet unless im buffed. It seems like my action goes down super fast to when Im fully suited up, making the resists kind of pointless compared to being unarmored and a faster killer.

i have a full composite suit and am a zabrak

it was made and sliced over and over so that it was able to be worn with under 350 in each of the secondaries except mind with needs 366

i managed to migrate stats around a bit and can now wear it with a 20-30 point buffer on each of my secondaries for the rare wounds i happen to get

which is nice since now that i can wear this, i don't get nearly as many wounds

I don't like the fact reb armor is weak to acid, and maybe heat too. I use mostly composite

If you are primarily using the armor for PvE, then I recommend against composite. You need to get a nice advanced set of composite that is well sliced for encumbrance, and that's rather expensive to be wasting on just killing monsters. It's overkill anyways, since most monsters primarily do kinetic damage.

For PvE, I really think that advanced chitin or ubese with a kinetic layer is best. The encumbrance is low and the high kinetic resist makess it extremely useful. My chitin set is 55% kinetic resists and I can wear it no problem even when my secondaries were migrated to the lowest possible (400 each). It's really nice to wear armor that blocks 70% of the incoming monster damage, yet is light enough to allow me to spam specials and heal.

Armor for PvE should be a situational thing and not something you are wearing all the time. Pop it on when you need added tanking power. Pop it off when you need to regen or spam specials.

I love my sliced Marauder/Composite armor mix and a shield.

Try to use Composite legs and bootsto counter BH carbine crippleshot.. as much as they like to say its useless skill smacks for 600+

Of course composite Helm to protect against eyeshot or another acid resist helm

for the restI recomend Maruder armor very low encumbrance for good protects

I wear adv Comp armor for both PvE and PVP. The only thing I don't wear is the helm. But I do have a Tantel hel just for something after slicing and some minor stat migration it is not bad. Most my HAm is in the 900s ecept for mind which is around 450 or so.
