Whoooope...

Went to pvp with krayt tissue fwg5's:

Got poisioned for -366 mind damage after he cloned he came and Db'd me.

Got mind bled for -466 a tick.(and he sicked his lvl 50 gurreck on me)

Got shot in the head (wearing a helmet too )for -1202 from a player at st

Got eyeshot spamed I don't know how many times.

Thing is I am a doctor too, all buffed up and healing for 1900 on average as a master pistoleer I feel like I am the 4th red headed step child of SOE waiting to get some porrage so I don't starve to death.

I have learned anyone overt and wearing any marksmand or scout type tage is a BH. In fact any overt that is not a commando, or combat medic is a BH.

SoE could really stand to wake up and smell what they have cooked up. It's been explained so so so so many times, with such accracy, by so many dedicated people.

Disgusted.

And if you think that's bad, if riflemen had their way you'd have 33-50% less range too.

I'm not too sure what you are expecting from pvp. you're a doctor and a master pistoleer so you've devoted ..92 points into a combat profession? even so, you would be more or less immune to poisons and diseases since you are a doctor. pvp really just boils down to preparation. if you go into combat fully buffed and with afull set of armor and a good weapon. then what is the problem? i'm sorry. but i just hit master pistoleer and i can take on 2-3 easily before going down. its really all about preparation. taking mind enhancing food/spice and having a good resist helmet makes you more or less immune to eye shots.

sorry to say, but it really doesnt sound as though you've been pvping for a long time. you're template is quite strong. you just need to learn the workings of how pistols work. for instance, at 74 pistol speed, you need a 1.3 speed pistol to fire off your stopping shot at 1 second. anything slow and you're hitting a 2 second delay.

if you can buff yourself as a doctor, always do so in pvp. since you've devoted a fair amount of your skill points to that profession, not buffing yourself is really just handicapping yourself.

wear a full set of armor. preferably composite with 60%+ resists. it can turn a 200 point eyeshot into a 80 point eyeshot.

make some pvp macros.

try doing all those things i gurantee that you will do better in pvp. at least its better than whining about it

reading this im glad im not into pvp, because as a wookiee im dead. in one shot it sounds like. im not a doc so i cant super buff myself at will and since wookiees cant wear armor or helmets im just dead. oh well im way to far along to delete and start over with another race.

I still like pistoleer but even at max speed it sure dont seem like its a match for these super hit point mind damage shots and commando and bounty hunter weapons. decent for pve but not for pvp.

Deflectors. If you got the cash to burn, saved me a bunch of times. Deflector+composite+doc buffs+tatoonie sunburns+muon gold=pvp combat survial.... Maybe

True, whinning doesn't acomplish anything. Unless you are whinning to SOE then they fix the squeakiest wheel first.

My point is, I have master pistoleer and all the smuggler pistol specials, so why does it only take one shot to my mind to put me out?

We all know the game is inbalanced.

Yes, I do prepare alot, but thanks for the tips. Nice to see people giving good genuine advice.

I guess the best advice is "be a bounty hunter"

Dashai

Met 2 people last night who had master gunfighter tags. Both said they couldnt train me they had been giving up thier pistoleer skllls to go bounty hunter.

I'm interested in upgrading my twenty eight point eight kilobaud internet connection to a one point five megabit fibre-optic T-1 line. Will you be able to provide an IP router that's compatable with my token ring ethernet LAN configuration?

Like many others, I took BH as a "secondary profession" because it is. Yes, BH is only a secondary prof.

Why ? Because of modifiers and certifications...moves are perfect but I can even survive with only Stopping Shot I can fire once per second whatever delay my gun is, my old 110-210 dly 3.4 SR Combat suddenly became a Tiny Death Star. This is odd, really.

Keep also in mind that if you can buff, prepare, etc...any BH can too. This is even more fun when ppl are ruining the only pool you can't modify (thanx Yoda, I'm a Zabrak, thus big mind pool) but I still can be One Shot (last time I tested it, I was hit for 1200 raw dmg full compo by a T21, real dmg was 850 or so due to AP3). Even being able to reach 3k Mind Pool won't prevent things to happen : 850 real dmg per second is much more than what I can do, in random HAM.

So yes, you can say I cry a river...the game is totally unbalanced and everyone knows it. It is much easier to taunt when you're the one benefiting the unbalance.

This is one of the best replies I've ever seen. This should be the SWG quote of the month.
