Pistoleer Archive

For some time now I have remained at Pistoleer 3/4/4/4 and Bounty Hunter 0/0/4/0 as well as Novice Medic. I am not willing to surrender my med skills, but was wondering if surrendering some of my BH skills and becoming a Master Pistoleer would really be more benificial.

If I was todo this, I would lose Torso Shot as well as some pistol speed modifiers. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

So, even if my modifiers are over 100, I still only get the benefit of it being 100?

I would surrender most of your PIstoleer skills instead of surrendering BH skills. All you need is 0/0/0/2 to max your speed, and none of the Pistoleer specials do much for you. Then you can put your points in other professions (medic, Smuggler Dirty Fighting, etc).

Heh... I found your sig to be a little hypocritical of your reply, but am beginning to agree with you.

Samra doesn't believe in the "sunk cost" principle of economics

BTW, for now his advice is correct ... but I'd keep TrickShot.

FanShot is an excellent complement to the BH specials and the defensive bonuses are pretty nice. Yes, they are not stellar but its great when you can resist the knockdown from some NPC's underhandshot from nowhere.

Here's coming from a master pistoleer, and an 0/0/4/3 BH, who DID give up his medic skills

You reall dont get anything worth while with Master Pistoleer. Both of the special moves (multi-target pistol shot and Disarming Shot 2) are bugged. Maybe when the make it so that only master pistoleers can use dual pistols (Wastoid gets on his knees and prays), it will be worth it.

Hang on to your medic skills, and hang on to Torso Shot until the improve master pistoleer
