Ok, for quite some time something has really baffled me. It has been said numerous times that BodyShot2 and BodyShot3 do about the same amount of damage. I find this to be completely incorrect. When using BodyShot2, I hit for 500-800, but with BodyShot3, I am achieving 1000-1400 damage. These figures are based on using the same Scatter Pistol without a power up.

I'm just wondering why others aren't experiencing this near 100% increase in damage.

If you would have looked a little closer at the discussion, the problem is with DPS. Until you reach Master Gunfighter, bodyshot 2 has a better DSP than bodyshot 3. We pistoleers don't have the speed you BSers have.

A bounty hunter dabbling in pistoleer abilities is not the same thing as a pistoleer purist. like the guy posted above me, a novice BH can have faster speed with a pistol than a master pistoleer does, we also don't get to use scatters. So, you don't count.

Hold on, guys... You seem to have it backwards. I am a Pistoleer dabbling in Bounty Hunter. Currently, I am at Pistoleer 3/4/4/4 and BH 0/0/4/0. I was a Pistoleer long before deciding on adding the Pistol tree in BH. Quite frankly, I believe your reasoning is a mute point.The question was about BS2 Vs BS3, not Pistoleer Vs Bounty Hunter.

As far as DPS is concerned, you're right I failed to calculate that in. Thanks for your response. And I suppose the fact that I have extra speed modifiers through BH totally negates the issue altogether. So, hell, I don't know. Maybe I don't count, heh.

Dude, read the Faq Sheet above, BS3 has a much slower speed mod attached to it. With your BH pistol speed bonuses you can shoot them both at 1/sec, Pistoleers with NO BH can't do that... So it IS a BH/Pistoleer issue of DoT. Pistoleers without BH speed mods CAN'T shoot BS3 at 1/sec...

Our problem is aside from master pistoler and/or BH pistol users, body shot 3 is worse than body shot 2.

Me, for instance, I zoomed up the tactics line just to get BS3....and never again used it until mastery since it had lower DPS. That's wrong, it needs to have a faster delay so it's ALWAYS better than BS2. Thats another reason speed hitting cap is dumb IMO, it makes things even more confusing.

As far as my title of this thread is concerned, BS is a play on words. It mainly refers to BodyShot, however.
