The debate has gone on since the beginning: Experience vs Skill points. Pistoleers, carbiners, and riflemen feel they should be competetive with bounty hunters if both are using the same class of weapon, due to the fact that they've put more training intothat single specific weapon than a BH has. A BH believes that they should be able to win because they've invested more skill points to reach their profession, and thus lost the possibility of really learning any other skill if they wish to master BH.

As it stands now, in order to really successfully fight a bounty hunter, you need to be a bounty hunter yourself. In my eyes, this takes a lot of thediversity out of the game. Is it impossible for one of the non-hybrid combat classes to beat a bounty hunter? No, of course not. But it is very difficult, and most of the time you'll find yourself laying flat on your back, whether a master of your chosen profession or not. Should it be this way? Actually, yes...bounty hunters give up the versatility (i.e. skill points)the rest of us have in order to become the ultimate in PvP combat. They deserve to win. At the same time, is it fair to the rest of us that there is no avenue open for us to do the same without becoming simply another bounty hunter running around?

So why not create another elite profession above each of the pistoleer, rifleman, and carbiner skills, for those that wish to continue advancing in their chosen weapon, and are willing to put in the same amount of skill points as a BH in order to be competetive with a BH? That way those that truly want to be deadly with a specific weapon can be, and there can be no complaints that it wasn't earned. Obviously this isn't a quick fix solution, or something that could be implemented in short order, however I think it could do the game a great deal of good, especially for those of us who don't want to be yet another bounty hunter, but would like to be competetive in PvP combat.

I'd like peoples thoughts on this (obviously, or else I wouldn't have posted it on a message board )

I have said this several times myslef, the respons ei always got was "nice idea, but lets fix the current proffesion first shall we?" or "shut up, thats a dumb idea", well i am paraphrasing, but the point is that no one agreed with me. Its good to see that i am not alone in ym thoughts. This is a great idea and i for one would be more than happy to give up another 63 skills points to a new pistol prof, providing it had power.

On a side note, and again this is just me, I wouldnt mind if this new prof had theoption to dual weild (i know leave the god damned horse alone, but i liek the idea, and their is presadence so its not like it would be anti-star wars).
