Thread: Special Move Speed Modifiers

I have repeatedly seen people refer to particular speed 'modifiers' associated with special moves. For example, what I commonly see is that stopping shot has a modifier of 4.0 and fan shot has a modifier of 3.2. Meaning that a master pistoleer will shoot stopping shot with a 1.7 fwg5 at 1.7 X 4.0 X .26. Anyhow, I wondered how people knew these were the modifiers for these moves? I've seen 4.0 and 3.2 used for those two in a variety of places...is there a post by the devs or something similar that states this? If so, where is it? If not, how do people know?

I'm also interested in the dmg modifier of special moves. Not just pistoleer moves really, every move.

Thanks in advance.

Actually speed modifier for fan shot is 2.4. As for where all modifiers are posted? At top of this page is FAQ for pistoleers. It gives modifiers for all the pistoleers special moves.

Check the stickied FAQ. It has the values and it has the process that Jaegen took to determine them.

According to swgcenter.com, speedmodifiers are as follows..

Move Name: FanShot
Time Modifier: 2
Damage Modifier: 3
Health Cost: 0.5
Action Cost: 1
Mind Cost: 0.5
To Hit Mod: 50

Move Name: StoppingShot
Time Modifier: 2.5
Damage Modifier: 3
Health Cost: 0.5
Action Cost: 1.25
Mind Cost: 0.5
To Hit Mod: 50

Move Name: LastDitch
Time Modifier: 4
Damage Modifier: 4
Health Cost: 0.5
Action Cost: 1.25
Mind Cost: 0.5
To Hit Mod: 50

These stats looks pretty accurate imho, though i do not believe that Fanshot and Stoppingshot has the exact same dam.modifiers. I feel stoppingsahot is a bit higher than Fanshot.

The swgcenter.com numbers aren't quite right. Fanshot and especially stoppingshot definitely have damage modifiers higher than 3x. Our pistoleer FAQ lists fanshot at 4.0x and stoppingshot at 4.7x, and that fits well with my ingame experience with those two skills.
