Thread: What the heck is up with pistol stances 3?

I was all excited when I got this skill because I thought I was going to get +15 to accuracy while standing. (like it says in the skill description. I thought I'd almost never have a need to kneel anymore. Well.... I still am 15% more accurate kneeling that standing. what gives?
Also, I was really dissaopointed with melee defense2. Is it just my imagination or does it NOT have any knockdown effect? If not, then what the heck is the point of it. We're pistol users, we have no business engaging in melee combat. I don't care if it does more damage, the only reason I ever used it was to knock someone down and then run back a few meters and blast them.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

The modifer number by people's heads is "relative" and shows the modifer for range, movement, and posture unrelated to character skills. ie. Pistol Acc +100, DX2 @ 64m will always show up at -50, not +50.

Always run with a pistol in your hand. You'll be more accurate than standing still and you'll lower your enemy's accuracy.

Pistol Melee Defense 2 does not, nor has it ever, had a knockdown effect. No telling if it was ever intended to, though.

ah okay. well thanks for the info guys. I wish they actually bothered to have it show the modifier relative to you with your skills. I don't see that as really being hard but I'm not a programmer so who knows.
And with regards to melee defense2, what the heck is the point? I guess it's like the majority of our specials that have no real use. I'll probably still be using fanshot and stopping shot, exclusively, even after reaching master. =/

Pistol melee defense is not a knock down attack, but the damage is way better, yesterday I pw 2 a nightsister for 1900 damage. So it does not knockdown but it sure does knock-out.

Pistol Whip 2 is for when you get close enough to someone to use Pistol Whip 1 and when you knock them down you beat them to death with your pistol (the whole timeshouting atthem if i ever yadayadayada). More for roleplay purposes, like a ruthless gangster making an example out of some one.

I use to remember when it did knock people on their @ss, heh, it was funny to watch as I or one of my friends pistol whipped a tortun knocking it to the ground

BAH...tortun...try an AT-ST...funny as hell to watch the chicken fall like a lead brick from the sky
