Raevin, do we even play the same game? Pistoleers are unbalanced with who? Carbineers? Riflemen? Squad Leaders? come on, I doubt anyone who knows anything about this game could say that with a straight face. I'm convinced that you know absolutly nothing about other professions especially since you talked about melee defense which is something, if you look at riflemen threads we are trying to get rid of in exchange for something useful. Since when do pistoleers have the shortest range? last time I checked we have the same 64m that you do we have the same penalties at max range AND a penalty at short range, making riflemen/carbineers the worst profession in all the trees. Not even to mention knockdown which is much easier to spam now that they decreased the HAM cost on some weapons.

Ok, I see a difference between the one that I thought was handed in and the one that is posted by Q:

Pistoleer Issues 8/01/2003

Compiled from Issues thread and weighted to get a top ranking.

#1. Pistol Specials Need Attention*

#2: Master Pistoleers are wondering why they cannot use all available pistols (scatter, launcher)

#3: More Pistol Certification at higher "levels" in the pistoleer tree

#4: Defensive Modifiers Not Working -Dodge/knockdown resist, etc.*

#5: Bounty Hunter vs Master Pistoleer

now, when I look at this thread, there seems to be several differences.

#1 was looked at.

#2 was not really mentioned, but...

#3 was mentioned, which I'm guessing is an answer for 2 and 3?

#4 was not mentioned

#5 they didn't want to compare, that's fair I guess.

So where did the rest of the stuff come from? Or is this list that Q posted on from an older date which I do not see posted?

Oh, I didn't paste Q's for refrence, sorry, here it is so you don't have to go back and forth:

The 6th one he made obvious that is was Jaegen's Pet Issue (and most of ours as well), so that one I can understand. Where did the other one's come from.

That's weird, it wouldn't let me copy Q's post. Something about html format, oh well, guess you'll have to go back and forth

In this response from the devs they were looking at the issues we sent in the first week. You know, before we figured out for sure that all the defensive bonuses and such were broken.

The issues you are thinking of were in the second report, which was sent in but not really looked at. Just after it was sent SOE told the correspondants not to send the second report until after getting a response to the first.

So basically our first report was kind of weak because we didn't have a handle on all this stuff yet, and now we can finally polish up and send in our second one.

Wes, you just gave me an idea. I'm gonna hit my friend's outdoor range this weekend and give true duel pistol's a shot (lord know's I have enough guns for it). I'm curious, I've done it before but more of a goofing off kind of thing, never really looked at it for accuracy and whatnot. I'd like to see how duel wielding pistol's affect you in RL (umm, actually, effect me, hehe) and I'd like to post a suggestion from my finding's that should prove to be a nice acceptable solution that everyone can agree on. He closes the range early on Sunday, so you'll probably hear the results after that.

And sorry, yes, I'm tieing RL to this game, I like to be able to able to feel as if it was somewhat real. Not fake beyond this world like the movie badboys and whatnot.

After hours at that range is always fun It's two in one actually because he owns a big piece of land, half of it swamp. part of the range is for civilian use, 10 lanes of rifle and 15 for handguns, all go 300 feet back. then off to the side behind the sand bunkers is the area with destroyed building and cars for the Dadecounty swat team to practice their shooting. So after hours we shoot in that area, hehe, that's where I plan to run my test, so I can have multiple targets around me instead of just in front of me I see myself spending alot of cash on ammo and beer for the cooloff later that night, LOL.

3) Bounty Hunter VS Pistoleer – Pistoleers feel they should be more comparable to Bounty Hunters in PvP.

Each class is different so we can’t really make class comparisons.

This is ridiculous! That statement is a cop-out. There are definitely comparisons that HAVE to be made. You obviously do make class comparisons when trying to balance this game. Currently a Master Pistoleer gets +40 to Pistol Accuracy and +44 to Pistol Speed. Bounty Hunter gets +60 to both and receive much more versatile attacks with a pistol and require much less pistol experience to get these bonuses. You say you can't make comparisons here, which is probably right, there is no comparison.

How can you justify the title of "Master Pistoleer" if the skills with a pistol are only a fraction of what other combat classes get with a pistol?

first thing Good Job Jaeggen88.... like all what Q-3po had to say... only thing I can think of is disarming shot should disarm the target and the weapon should take damage..
