Disarming Shots ability, I thought, was to bring the condition of the weapons down -- which they don't do after testing both 1 and 2 over and over. DS1 still does double damage to lairs albeit bit lower than before and DS2 is just plain worthless. MutiTargetShot still is broken. PointBlankArea2 does jack **edit** as well.

I dunno I loved supression fire and used it to solo on Dantooine, Yavin 4, and Lok with Pistoleer and zero skill boxes, that seemed IMO overpowered. I'm now 3 boxes into pistoleer, and after the patch I can still solo Yellow/Red cons unless they swarm me at which time I can sometimes (Longhorns for example) still solo them. How? Warning Shot mostly but I open something like this, Health Shot 1/2, Supression to give me a bit of breathing room, warning shot, wait 'till 50 or so meters, Roll Shot or Kick-Up Shot twice to get there attention warn repeat until dead. No this isn't as fast as supression fire but its a fair deal better than getting my ass handed to me by blues like some of you are saying =P. Vs. Mobs with ranged attacks I pop on a PSG and just fire away no problem. I have to be a bit more selective in what I'm fighting but still being able to fight Reds/Yellows alone, and not dying to white or under unless I guess theres a giant swarm of them I think is plenty powerful.


No I'm not as powerful as a Commando, or a Bounty Hunter, but than I have not invested the skill points that they have.

Yes I would like the specials I don't even have yet to do something useful, no this will not deter me from mastering pistoleer, in that regard I'm sure we are broken, however I don't think that a fairly easy to get profession is supposed to be the end all be all to pvp/pve since as a pistoleer I can master a whole other elite tree with points left over.

I played about 5 hours today


I did mostly pvp but did spend 1 hour doing pve


I found my smuggler pistol skills i just earned to be totally useless now so I droped the entire line as a result......


My pistol whip works about 1 in 4 trys a totally useless skill now until it adds some effect like dizzy or stance change or both ! add in stun too and even then hiting 1 in 4 trys will still make it not worth using


I madeone dodge in the hour fighting a red con no other dodges my findings on our pistol shots concurs with everyone elses findings....Our specials not being very special haaha


IMO dodge numbers need to be tripled for us to have a chance with the pistol being the BB gun in the game now


I see nothing wrong with us pistoleers having the lowest damage if we are correspondingly hard to hit and very accurate while shooting and moving ourselves


I saw several 1700 pvp shots from bounty hunters and commandos against other players needless to say these players were killed with 1 shot


best pvp shot i have ever made was with a sliced +30% to max damage powered up +30% max damagedx2 was 350 points pvp


We are masters of the BB gun now


The guard command is worthless now for troopers and pets because you are incaped with one shot so the pets dont guard you.


I noticed bounty hunters and comandos running around trying to solo 8 and 10 other players at theed and doing pretty darned good with there LLCs always incapping at least 1 or 3 before the combined might of 6 or 8 pistols could bring them down hahahahaha 2 bounty hunters/commando's would have killed all 8 of us i am sure.


I noticed Brisk sales of LLCs at the gun shops with crates of them on the floor so when they get some kind of nerf the BHs and commandos will have plenty of guns that wont be affected and will be dealing damaged measured in thethousands in pvpfor quite some time.


The way i see it we got nothing effective to use while we lost what we had.....While others got more than they need

The only effective thing i noticed were misses from my opponants during pvp as long as i was moving i didnt get hit much they missed a lot but with 1 shot kills its still rather pointless


But during a running battle the DX2 us useless so our scout blaster and fwg5 are the best pistols to use ,And any pistoleer who stands still in pvp is dead imo


My advice to any new person starting this game ......Avoid the pistoleer profession unless pain is something you like to endure

Here is what I noticed -


Dodge seems even more gimped. IT NEVER works. like maybe 1 in 100 shots are dodged at most. Basically worthless.


Bodyshot3 is now Weaker than Bodyshot2


1/2 our special moves now Meleedefense2, disarmshot1, disarmshot2, multitarget, and maybe others do absolutely nothing.


I'd REALLY wanna know why we are sooo gimped. Maybe our profession leader can learn to whine more.. Like it or not whining gets ungimped and keeping quite gets you more gimped.

Axxe makes a good point.. Defence vs. whatever doesn't work. If it did, KD woldn't need the nurf. If people had a defence against KD, KD could go back to normal!

Things I have noticed.



Out of about 100 shots fired at me (this is being generous) I Dodge maybe once.



Disarming Shot 2 is COMLETELY worthless. Tested this on another PC and it does nothing but the same damage I can do with any other shot.



Pistol Melee Defense 2, why is it even there ? does nothing at incredible HAM cost.



Fan Shot is a very decent attack (the only one we really have left). Funny, in a Faction PvP last night someone was going around screaming "Fan Shot needs to be nerfed".



I am a Master Gunfighter btw.



To the person saying the BH and Commando arent doing EXTREME amounts of damage must not of witnessed it. I saw Commandos doine 2-3k damage last night. Same with BH's.



It's funny how they say they want you to master a Profession to make it worth while yet they are always making it where it is better to mix up professions and dabble to get the best results.



Im not all that big into PvP, but what gets me is when they make these changes they affect PvE as well.

So far not one word from Holo about the nerf. Not one word from Holo about the insane amount of damage done by BH and Commando's. Not one word on when the fix for this new BH/Commando weapon exploit will be fixed. Not one word on why NOTHING of ours was fixed. Not one word about our report. Obviously, Holo doesn't care anymore. How many of you want to bet that the next move Holo makes is an announcement saying that you will only be able to do 10% damage to your opponent in PvP in order to stop the one shot kills being done by BH and Commando's. Do I have any taker's on that? How many of you want to bet on the amount of people calling foul play because of these people who wish to grief us like the one person did to me yesterday before I got pissed and logged out (BH would 1 to 3 shot kill anything I pulled, he would wait for me to snare it then he'd kill it and laugh as he thanked me each time for the combat experience). Why am I picking on Holo? Because he's out talking about clothing decay, pulling pet's out of droid storage which is something you weren't suppose to do anyways, and answering minor issues when he should be looking at this **edit**ing exploit and doing something about it. Why hasn't there been an emergency patch to fix this problem that is being abused by BH and Commando's? Also, he should at least give us some form of an answer as to WHY we, or our weapon, were NOT fixed. Why werewenerfed? Why hasn't our issues received a response? Heck, why do we even have a correspondent for if youdon't listen? And how many of you want to bet that if Holo did answer, he wouldn't be giving us an answer, he's simply say something like,we're looking into it, or make some stupid joke out of one line in my post. We're payingyour salaryfor god's sake, do your job!Give us some sort of acknowledgement after this crap you pulled on us. Are you going to fix this Greifing issue from BH and Commando's? Are you gonna un-nerf us and fix our profession as Jaegen has been telling you what is needed?


Oh wait, I forgot, you don't read our board's, we're the readheaded stepchild. I just wasted 15 minutes of my life here and 3 months in the game.

Update on the BH KD issue I brought up.



I jumped the gun a bit, I was still pinned down for between 14-22 seconds as an effect of the BH Fire KD Shot, but it was a combo effect.



The BH Fire KD also makes you 'Dizzy' which keeps you down for a LONG duration. I just tested it another 12x's.9 of those times after being hit by Fire KD, I was Knocked Down & also had the Dizzy effect. Shortest durration of being pinned down was 15 sec. On the 3 other times, I was Knocked Down but not Dizzy (however, the NEXT shot did make me dizzy).



This brings up 2 things IMO, #1 for a class (BH) that has SO MUCH going for it & the ability to outdamage every other class, why in the world would they combo those two effects (KD + Dizzy) into the class let alone in ONE SHOT? #2 The natural resistance Pistoleers get from the Stances & Grips line just flat out DOESN'T WORK!!!!



I don't expect to beat BH's often, I don't even expect to excape too often, but I do expect to at least be an annoyance & defend myself a little bit. With the current set up, even a full Pistoleer/Combat Medic or CH isn't going to stand a chance to excape ..... KD/Dizzy .... Mind Shot, Mind Shot, Mind Shot ..... & this is added to the fact the LLC now worked like it should.

Diasrm 1, Disarm 2, Multitarget, Pistol Melee 2, Body Shot 3, Dodges, and Defenses don't work.


This is pretty much the whole gamut of Pistoleer skills.


This is a load of fetid dingo kidneys. Period. The class is now near useless.



Good thing I'm still a doctor. *sigh*

well, another patch, another nerf for us. here's what i found out last night, soloing on Lok vs. snorbals:


--Pistol Melee Defense 1 hit once every 4 or 5 tries. other times a message pops up that says "Your attack failed to knockdown creature." **edit**? i thought that was the whole point of the special. anyway, the knockdown effect only lasted 5 seconds, about as long as the animation for the creature to lie down and get back up. after that, they can attack again. good thing i had my pet to take some of the damage. oh, and cost of this special was still high IMO.


--Disarming Shot 1 vs. lairs, i didn't notice any significant change, i'm not sure if it still does double damage to lairs, it was hard to tell. anyone else tested this out?


--Dodge? um, no, i didn't see it at all last night. <sigh>


i'm still using Body Shot 2, Health Shot 1/2 as my bread and butter. heck, why bother moving up any further in the Pistoleer line when i can't even solo anymore? maybe i should just stick to Tailor until we get some sort of fix. haven't you guys noticed that SOE always fixes the professions that are the most popular, i.e. BH? there were so many BHs running around, but now, with the new weapons and 2k-3k dmg per shot, who would want to be any other fighter class, besides Commando? jeez, it seems like SOE wants us to be one dimensional, i.e. PVP/PVE only or crafter class only. i hope they at least listen to Jaegen and fix some of our deficiencies, make us more of a fighter and give us a chance to survive in the world. otherwise, why would one be a Pistoleer, when you can have something like a BH to deal damage?

Pistoleer is nerfed. it SUCKS! FIX IT SOE!


I have never, in my character's life, missed more times with my high-end skills and pistols, than I did last night. I was doing more dps with a CDEF as a flippin' Novice Artisan when I first started the game!!!!!!!!



THAT IS MESSED UP! FIX IT!
