I know you said "almost always sucks" - just thought I would add that if you are in PvP against even a novice medic, it is a good idea to use a random HAM special. I almost always use a random HAM attack, unless I am sure my opponent is a BH (and less likely to have any Medic skills).

I would also like to comment on the posts defending Bounty Hunters. I am a Master Doctor and Master Gunfighter, when fully (self)buffed I stand no chance against eyeshot - even wearing 50%+ protection composite helm, and even when I get Equilibrium(Zabrak) in at the right time. Not to mention the fact that my mind and (incredible!) Zabrak willpower are maxed out.Many people don't take into account that eyeshot also makes you blind, so I end up missing most of my shots... and if I try to cure my own blind state it just quickens my demise because it uses a good chunk of my mindpool to do so.
I have Mastered 3 professions, 2 of them elite. They are all combat-related (if anyone does not consider Doctor combat related, take into account I can cure myself of most states, poison, disease, do full self heals, and buff myself and my group. It's not an offensive set of skills but in my eyes the best defense your skillpoints can buy and still leave room for mastering the Pistol profession.)
With that in mind, BH only mastered two basic, easy professions (one of them being Scout, which in direct PvP combat only terrain negotiation stands out as useful, the otherprofession a mixture of 3 different weapon skills with little focus). So they take those skills and only need to work up to BH Pistol 2 to be able to defeat just about anything out there besides higher-level BH.
To make matters worse, they can kill a Master Pistoleer with a Pistol... and I realize many BH out there also have Pistoleer skills but in general they can have eyeshot without earning more than 500k Pistol xp. On the other hand, Master Pistoleer requires over 3.75 million Pistol xp. And yet we are inferior in the use of a Pistol. That's ridiculous.
If this is all one big whine, I believe it's warranted. Eyeshot is overpowered and too easy to acquire.Many(not all)of thepeople that defend it are the same ones that couldn't function as Pistoleers after their KD or posture spams got taken away, so they went to the next easy spam and are now worried they won't be able to function again.

Is PMD2 not supposed to have a KD attached to it? What was the original intent of this special?

Do we even care about PMD2? Wait, don't answer that. Answering anyway! I do care, it needs to have KD attached.
4. Do we want Fan shot reverted or leave it as-is. Revert, make multi-target functional. Give us something special for making and spending the points on Master, we need something to set us apart from the dabblers. Nothing against dabblers, right now that is the way to go... but I don't think they should have the advantage in every situation. Whether you are a dirty fighting or bh pistol dabbler, you will just about automatically be better with pistols than a Master Pistoleer even if you only have 1 Pistoleer tree. Boo!

If you have Bounty Hunter pistols....this post isnt for you... this is for the master pistoleers who have MultiTarget Shot, that is broken... That is unless SOE just wants to tell EVERYONE on the server to be a bounty hunter. In which case feel free to post but stress that you are a hybrid. And have Bounty Hunter attacks to do you damage.
Yes I realize that you are a Master pistoleer as well, but admit that from YOUR prospective you like the new shot, at least try to see it from our angle. Thanks.
Actually PMD1 does the same damage for me, and PMD2 is the one that actually has the 1/2 damage reduction

I still have no idea why people are using Fan shot over Body shot 2 or 3, you guys are entranced by big numbers..
The only time i use Fan and stopping is PVP cuz im hoping it hits mind, Now Fan shot just became 100x more usefull so id appreciate if you non Master's would shut up cuz youll appreciate New Fan shot more at master

The jury is still out on this, I want to talk to the combat dev before any decision on our "reply" is made.
However, I think you're wrong in your reasons forwanting to change fan shot back to what it was before, it's far more useful in it's new incarnation.
You say it's bad for PvE, but if you are using fan shot over body shot 2 or body shot 3 (mastery or with a fast gun), you are missing out on 33-37% more damage!!! Fan shot was already useless in PvE, I hope that's clear, because it's now useful in both PvE and PvP and most players should feel that's a big win! AOE attacks output insane amounts of damage, they can really speed up the right PvE spots and of course, can be useful in the GCW.
We'd like disarming shot to NOT be primarily damage, but something like a state effect shot or delay shot or something to compliment our damage, not susbtitute for it, bascially an AOE version (and more effective) than disarming shot 1. If it does ANY damage it will be OK IMO, but I dont see this as redundant at all. MTPS, this can be either more powerful AOE or if we get our suggestion, it will be an AOE version of body shot 3. Point Blank AOE2, yeah, we need to figure out what to do with this special. Considering it's a 12m range, I'd rather worry about fixing that then changing fan shot back.
I will probably post a discussion on this Monday or Tuesday, but right now, I want to hear what folks have to say, keeping in mind that if your only reason is because you used it in PvE, I don't think I can support your view. I have not seen any compelling reason yet to even HINT at wanting it changed back, and I see more and more people getting the hang of it, and realizing, hey, this is a GOOD thing for ALL pistoleers, new ones, master pistoleers...both PvE AND PvP.
*votes on improvements:
1. keep the new fanshot as a Cone random HAM special.
2. MTPS should be a Cone Health targeted special.
3. Double Tap should be a bread'n'butter shot for non-masters, not Kip (this one is really irritating to me).
4. I prefer a damage boost to BS3, makes it more attactive to masters and makes it better than BS2 to non-masters.
5. make disarm 1 low damage but intimidate single target.
6. make disarm 2 low damage but intimidate cone.
7. PMD2 needs something, I prefer dizzy.

Sounds perfect to me. Either that, or MTPS the 360 degree shot that was once proposed.

You know, that's a bit uncalled for since we're all trying to make our profession suit us better. Just because you made master before the rest of us doesn't give you the right to tell us to shut up about our own profession. I'm putting in just as much hard work, if not harder work since they nerfed everything you used to get there before I was able to use it, as you did.
I honestly think that was uncalled for, that's why I gave a one star (people always ask for a post on why they where given a one star, here is that post, sorry)

Love the new Fan Shot even though I think it is a misplaced skill.
As for changing he speed on Stopping shot, I think that is a bad idea...would be overbalancing. I think working out the speed issues where we wouldnt have a stupid 1 sec cap just like everyone else would be more practical.
PMD 1 and 2 are not much different other than the fact that I can never get a KD from 2 which leads ne to believe that it doesnt work.
Would love to see disarm do SOMETHING and would like Multi shot to be a cone dot.

I sort of agree with you, I don't like the idea of lowering the speed on stopping shot because once you reach master you'll shoot at one second anyways with it from what I hear. On the other hand, I don't even use it right now because it takes so godawful long on the delay, and if my hit did only 300 damage with a wait of 5 seconds, I'd be better off using BS2 doing 100 minimal every 1 second. I guess I'm saying that while lowering the timing on it will be useless in the long run, it will help out the people who are working their way up. However, if they lower the speed at master down the boxes some so we aquire speed earlier in our progression, this should help solve the problem, it's something that Q had suggested.
Also, upping the damage is a good move, We are Elite Pistoleer's, why would a halfbreed, a dabbler, with less pistol experience be able to do more damage then an elite? Our damage should be brought in line with the damage of the Smuggler last ditch...OR...it should do what the discription say's, and that's knockdown or incap in one shot, so a dizzy effect would be appropriate if they are leaving the damage as it is.
If people like the new fan shot, then leave it. I personally think that they should have done that with our master skill area effect which is currenlty broken and leave fan shot as is while making stoping shot a dizzy with targeted ham damage. But that's me /shrug

Curious, why would fan shot be considered misplaced? It's tier 4.
Both Carbine and Rifle get AOE shots below Tier 4, of course they also get state effects liked dizzy/stun/knockdown, etc. to couple with them, but that's OK. I'd still think a tier 4 AOE shot is more than OK.
Revert Fan Shot to what it used to do. Make Multi-Target Shot the current Fan Shot. There is no reason to start messing with our best special. Why not fix some of the others. The functionality is there, just put the properties of the current Fan Shot in for Multi-Target Shot.
Fan Shot aggros things through walls. I doubt it was hitting them, but in the Warren, Fan Shot is pretty much worthless because whenever it's used, creatures come from everywhere...
Let us actually talk to the Dev responsible have him send me a private message I can respond to or whatever, but I believe you are biased Jaegen88, and dont believe you realize that some of us dont CARE about using FAN SHOT in pvp and just want everything to quit AGROing us when we use an ACTION CHEAP attack for 3x the damage of the stupid and expensive Body Shot 3. If it did more damage or costed less it would be an alternative, but I am a HUMAN with maxed Action regen and cannot support the fire rate. (I dont wear armor either.) I think its clear that those of us that don't like the change are at LEAST as many as those who do. Doesn't it make a little more sense to put this up on multitarget shot and give usa CHOICE about Agro Everything uh.. I mean Area Effect or "Attacking a single target multiple times."
To sum up all of my posts:
ACTION COSTs of SHOTS vs. Sustained Damage NOT vs. Damage over time.
If I can do 2000 damage in 1 minuteand then be useless or forced to heal or 4000 over 2.5 minutes and still have some action left to take one hit to action or take on another target. Guess which one I want?
