Thread: best pistol in game over 1000 in pvp
One other thing, if you're relying on one weapon type to do all your damage, you're leaving yourself with a great vulnerability in the long run.
I use 2 different weapon types to kill. One of them gets a 2.5x damage multiplier on the rifleman. I hope he's holding it while I beat down on him.
Here's a simple fix:
Drastically lower the range of the scatter pistol.
This would force the BH into actually switching out weapons based on distance to their target, and make the scatter fall more properly into it's intended, discripted, use.
As it stands now, a BH'sbiggest decision in PvP is, "should I use Eye Shot or Torso Shot? Hmmm"
He's gonna hit you, guaranteed. He's gonna fire either shot at 1 per sec. What the BH should be, since the class is the ultimate dabbler of ranged weapons, yet master of NONE, is be forced into selecting his weapons as a fight progresses. That's what should make them dangerous, that they can adapt to their combat enviroment.
The scatter should be considered his hand to hand.

i hit for between 600-1261 in pvp, using 78-398 1.7 fwg5 every time ..........almost
900's fairly consistantly tho
I've hit for 1350 in pvp and somewhere near 5500 on a creature...doesnt happen too often but 1200s do....go figure...

And I'm **edit** glad unique pistols don't match average rifles. Can you imagine a 9mm doing the same amount of damage as an M16? Does that make anye amount of sense whatsoever?
Please, someone explain how that would make any sense..
(As a side note, my own FWG5 can do that high in PvP.. Rarely, but it can)

Hummm...RL again ?
FYI, the first weapon EVER that was able to pierce PD protection was a pistol. Some pistols are much more powerful than a M16, there is no possible comparison. M16 is used for mid to long range fights (actually, it is an assault gun), it can hit with decent dmg but its true benefit is mainly its accuracy and fire rate (able to fire single, semi-auto or auto).
But we're not in RL, you are not a Rifleman RL, I'm not a real Zabrak, Vader doesn't exist and you can breathe : Rancors don't exist either..hope this soothe you. It is a GAME, quit RL argues please.
Deadnewbie, it's fairly nice to know you rule anything in PvP. Btw, your idea about AP is a bit (pardon me, don't duel me please) stupid. Rifles have AP3, Carbines AP2, Pistols AP1. This is fair and no one ever complained (for a long time at least) with that. Some Melee weapons are AP2 (matbe more), what AP you suggest they should have ? Neg 1 ?
AP is a VERY important factor in pvp, thus balancing...if everybody get AR1 but no pistoleer can get AP1, why exactly someone should be a pistoleer ? Just be a carbineer and you're ok.
You stated ppl shouldn't rely on a single weapon and that's a valid point. But accepting your idea is just making BH more powerful just because he is better than Specialized Masters in THEIR weapon ability, so preventing a pure pistoleer to survive without any other weapon is a much too big advantage for the already omnipotent BH. Please, don't come back again with retarded Skill Point thing, not everybody wants to be "Da uba PvP Man On Da Board" like you are so proud to be.

from memory a m16 is only 7. soming mm
FAMAS (french weapon) is a slightly better overall assault weapon but has also a much bigger movement after shot, which makes it a hard to handle weapon at high fire rate.
But both of these are clearly ABOVE average. Best pistols are making about the same dmg than best pistols (regular ones, some can use illegal bullets that are also called "SWAT Killers" just because the projectile is made of teflon, which is perfect to pierce any kind of armor). For armor piercing, bigger isn't better.
oh yeah, I should preview before posting... I meant best pistols are...than average rifles / carbines

I am not sure what your point is here, but just FYI:
M16 is a .223 or 5.56 mm
Its power comes not from the size of the bullet but the amount of powder in the casing which pushes it at a high velocity. Velocity is sometimes better at creating damage in a target than just overall diameter of the slug.
