Oh just to add. One of the dodges was in the kneeling position and was a really cool side ways roll.

How come they didn't listen to most of your suggestions Jaegen?


I would be sad a few things got 'nerfed', though I hate the word, but had they at least listened to a few suggestions, I would be quite content.


People said to me that my line would be next, but I was always optimistic, that since I liked Pistoleer the way it was that it may stay like that.


I haven't complained once, until now.



Okay, about the dodge, and other defenses:


These defenses are useless until we can use them in PvP vs even masters of elite proffessions. eye shot works against every person you PvP. It gives you at least afew critical 'turns' where the opponent would have tagged you, to shoot without getting fired on that particular time, possibly and most likely shifting the battle. A lot of specials do this, they are battle makers, and breakers.


Dodge, should be able to do something for us. It should at least give one chance to miss a hit on you per PvP battle, to actually be useful. It's not even as good as most specials, but it does something.


I don't even want to talk about our other specials, just because I don't have the motivation.
Besides they didn't listen to you Jaegen, they won't listen to me.

Well I've had some issues with this patch too as pistoleer. Im not that high lvl but i got a few skills. I logged on an noticed the 30 sec delay on the suppression fire from marksman line. I used to use this a lot to solo a few higher lvl mobs an such. If I actulaay got a kd with pistol whip i'd be lucky to get 25-30m away from a mob an they are back up. use a stopping shot an miss as im running. Mob closes in im losing health an im dead before 30 secs are up so I cant do another posture change. Mabe the problem would be a little better if there was say a 15 sec posture change timer for kd and suppression fire type state changes. At least u could get a bit of time to settle ur distance an still mabe take a few mobs. This 30sec timer is a bit too much for pvp and for pve. Why have a kd skill that works only every 30 secs? most duels only last that long an its impossible to get more than mabe 1 in.



Im a crafter too and i dont tink ill have skill pts for master an wouldnt anyway as they don do nothing for pistoleer anyway. I also dont have points for other fighting proffessions. I'm not gonna be a pvp er because im also a crafter an never will be as strong as most heavy fighters. I dont even wanna try but it'd be nice to not get eaten by every med mob as my state change lasts 2 secs and my kd works every 4/5 trys.



Mabe ill make a few houses now Anyone got carbonate ore on Tat on Bria?

Anyone try Bodyshot 3? Still broken huh? And nerfed mpistol whip 2 which no one uses due to no knockdowbn and higher cost... they RAISED the cost. I had a ball reading that, so funny how teh devs got that one wrong and it makes you wonder if they even listen to us OR even Jaegen.

I just got hit by butterflies about 30 times in a row, no misses or dodges. I have +20 dodge. Any chance, if it works at all, that it only works vs. ranged?


Also, point blank area 2 is still broken.

Well, this new patch has killed a pistoleers ability to solo creatures that simply move quicker then youcan burst run. Even creatures that are marked as blue or white have a significant chance of defeating a pistoleer or and class. Simply because you can't control the creature. You can use KD once and posture down once in a fight so basically you can only control a creature twice throughout combat, the rest of the time you are a tank and can only hope to survive. Most creatures that i find easy to solo (rontos etc) not become hard because you can't control them. I'd like to see something done about this...

I think dodge works. I have the 3rd Tier with dodge and every tier that gives me more dodge points I dodge more - definitely. Dodge standing up, dodge at kneeling (character does a roll) and after I got dodge 3, CHARACTER DODGES WHILE PRONE!!! Your toon will roll once, really quickly. It looks awesome.


It just doesn't happen often.


And I dodge against a player for the first time. Some Imp named See'real shot at me and my character sidestepped and it missed. More to that story, right See'real? heheheheh. Point is I think it works, but chances for it to work are slim.


Then again, maybe my set of disks had the dodge function programmed on them?

Jaegen:


I think dodge is based on the skill of the person shooting at you against your points in dodge. I dodge all the time against low-level mobs, but less against tougher ones, and even less against players. Only dodged a player once that I know of and that was tonight.

I hear you.


With out plusses to firing while moving, combined with the drop for hitting a moving target, I now run even more than I used to. This was a pretty good move for pistoleers.

JorahRamsai, there is still warning shot that happily controls creatures. granted it doesn't work on a lot of high level stuff but it still works. thats not to say more isn't needed.

hopefully status change timers will remain for pvp only, as of now pve is nearly impossible without a good pet.


pistoleer changes were as follows...


resetdisarm 2 to "working as intended" statusby removing kd effect but leaving ham costs as if it still was a kd special


leave multi target shot broken


leave melee d 2 broken


leave disarm 1 broken


leave body shot 3 broken


changepistol line titles to ones i refuse to use (elite guardsman was the only good one and now is gone)


dodge effectiveness increased against green cons (who cares, i have yet to dodge a white+ con even after patch)



needless to say im moonlighting as a rifleman till this mess gets worked out.


kesix arrey, master pistoleer only for speed bonus.

also, i was under the impression that i ideal pistoleer wouldn't be soloing high level creatures, that a pistoleer isn't designed to do that. granted the role of a pistoleer isn't working yet, in that we can't actually inflict status hits or defend ourselves against melee but soloing high end mobs is definatly off the menu.


i see the pistoleer as quick at shifting targets, inflicting dizzy or blind due to the closeness of his gun, and be difficult to hit. its not about power or about being able to control an enemy solo, thats what BH's and commandoes are for.
