Thread: Need testers and test info for patch feedback
Most of our pistoleer skill names are born from actual western terms for pistol shots.. Like Fan-Shot.. Fan shot is a quick accurate shot. Fanning is old revolver style of using your hand to palm the hammer of the gun to get the shots off quickly and steady in the low hold. So in answer it should not be a AOE. first of all we have a shot thats suppose to do that. leave Fan shot the way it was and boost its damage multiplier.
I was so frustrated with the devs taking away the only good shot I had I started a new character on another server.
For one, anaoe cone shot should only be obtained at master level (like it was intended to be). Second it is the job of multi target pistol shot and it is pointless to have two aoe cone shots. They should make multi target pistol shot to what fan shot currently is and change fan shot back to what it was.

in defence of the people who like the new fan shot. other weapon professions get an ae befor master.
they just need to make MTPS more powerful then fan shot and fix disarming shot to be our best shot.
Put Fan Shot back. I mean what is multi target shot? What you have fan shot doing now! I want the CHOICE of doing an area attack or a single target damage ( Like it says in the Description.)
Put it back OR make it slightly more damageing than it was to a single target if it has to be somehow better than Stopping shot...
Tell me guys when you do your tests do you compare the HAM cost to your action? That is where this new attack caviot is nailing us 34 action for Fan Shot vs 50 for the Stopping Shot? Same damage No, this is unacceptable unless your Rodian. My human cant have high enough stamina to support this kind of output. I have it cranked all the way to max as it is when I use a 34 action Fan Shot as my primary with Body Shot 3 to finish off an attacker thats already bleeding from Health Shot 2. Now everything agros me if its closer than 10 meters to me it agros me over pets or other players TOO.
Put Fan Shot back and put the effect on Multi Target Shot, Easy Fix.
yeah we have multi target shot at master , just need a fix.
But well if Multitarget shot was fixed it would force people to go for master pistoleer as thats what the devs want more and more to make it to master profession .
If we leave fanshot aoe cone attack whats the point of going formaster pistoleer anymore ?( some people just think of the attacks and not the mods )
I personally think Fanshot effect should be reverted back as it was before patch and fix MTPS

We don't have an AOE shot, and we're not asking for MTPS to be a random ham AOE shot. According to the Devs it's not supposed to be AOE anyway.
I don't see any reason to change FanShot to be non-AOE. Prior to the patch, FanShot was useless. It was almost always worse than BodyShot2/3 against both mobs and players, and it wasn't even the best random HAM attack--KipUpShot (at low speeds) and StoppingShot (at high speeds) were better.
At least now we have an attack that is somewhat useful ... prior to the patch it wasn't.

I hate to break it to you, but you were always better off using KipUp or BS2 as your main single target shots. If you were using FanShot, you were making a mistake.
MTPS is not supposed to be a random HAM AOE attack. It's not what the Devs told us it will be or what we have asked for.
I have no idea why you want FanShot "back." Back to what? If you wantto hit random HAM for some reason, you've always better DPS options anyway.
You guys need to realize that random HAM almost always sucks. Why would you want to hit health 55% of the time when you could be hitting it 100% of the time? The only time it is valuable is when (1) the enemy has a low mind or action pool or (2) you want to max your XP in a group and aren't worried about how fast you kill the creature.

AOE is not your niche. Who said it was? Carbineer has AOE attacks of its own. So does Bounty Hunter. We were the only class without an AOE attack, and we already had two AOE (or better) attacks at Master.
As usual our attacks are still way worse than yours, so you have nothing to complain about. You have weapons that have much higher DPS than ours, and low in your tree you get a 4x AOE + stun attack. At Master you get a 5x AOE attack. Firing those once per second with a T21 sounds good to me. I'll trade you straight up if you like FanShot so much. ![]()
This is info using a DX2 (24/42/15) and a Scout Blaster (11/22/11) with 400 to Strength, Quickness, and Focus.
PMD1: Same damage, far less cost. 48 with scout 90 with DX2.
PMD2: 1/2 damage, same costs (I think) 128 with scout 241 with DX2.
To summarize, PMD2 = Worthless PMD1 = better

Great info, Rebel. Thanks for testing this.
Note I may be mistaken if PMD1 costs less as I am unsure on the cost from before I remember around 150 but I could be wrong or it Might be when I was wearing armor. Regardless the raw stats are there.
