Thread: Be very careful, Fanshot is broken
Thinking. Maybe does new fanshot hit only attaking objetives? First shot hits targeted objetive. Then you got aggro from others. Second shot hits all aggroing objetives.
Also, i think nests are considered always as aggroing objetives. I will explain you got a lot of aggro when you hit near a nest.

Yea well, this is the pistoleer forums. If your trying to say this elite class is only worthwile if its paired with a hybrid class, then we got some problems making pistoleer a viable class. The fact is, I might want to be a pistoleer dancer with some scout skills, all depends. Thats not the issue, the issue is that pistoleer spec attacks, fan shot speciffically, are worth about a load of bantha poodoo.
what i am saying is, if you dont use 150 points of your 250 for combat or combat support and you complain that you cannot solo then you need to reconsider your template.
Pistoleer pumps out damage fast, that is what they do and that is all they do... solo takes more than just damage.
I will say it again, if you are master crafter you CHOSE not to be soloable (at least not high end missions). If you are not using your points then you are a fool lol. Even stat migration makesa HUGE difference (regen is more important than most people think it is)
I am a toon designed to solo, and I can kill anything in the game solo though some are tough. Guess what, I used ALL my points and multiple skill sets to be this way.
Yes, I am saying that master of this elite class alone is NOT enough to solo with and should not be enough. Unless of courese you do low end missions, then have fun, and solo away.
Perhaps the first shot is a "targeting shot", which tags all the creature it should be hitting. Then, subsequent shots strike those creatures for damage.
What if Fan Shot was paired with the masterMultishot pistol ability? You would have to use Fan Shot to target creatures, but then thereafter you can use MSP to shoot them, regardless of where they are in relation to you as long as they're in range.
Sorta like the 'homing bullets' in The Fifth Element One shot is the marking shot, all the rest of the shots go there as well....
In effect, any mobs in the cone but not in combat automatically dodge any cone attacks, except for your main target.
I have mixed feelings about the new fanshot, I have never killed 8 banthas quicker than last night with fanshot, but I also hit a dragonet by mistake another time who came over and beat me up. ![]()

It has been proven that Fan Shot is less effective than Body Shot 2 in taking a target down quickly. So I for one am glad that there is now at least a reason to use the new Fan Shot. One less gimped single target random HAM attack. Hooray!
I agree 100% with Andara.
