Thread: I'm sick of BH insulting us.
So what BH essentially want is there only other challenge to be BH's no one else should pose a threat to them?

On the whole, we're very happy for the commando's.
What I personally don't like about many pistoleers, is they have screamed nerf for many other professions in the game, and have gotten it.
Do not think of it as one profession Sun, think of it as two...Because thats how much it costs.
The problem with most of the community is that they assume the BH skill set should be=Pistoleer skill set...
But lets look at it with some logic....
Each BH skill branch costs about 53 skill points to obtain the level 4 of....
Each Pistoleer skill branch costs 24 skill points to obtain the level 4 of.
Now that means the one BH branch should equal 2 branches of pistoleer+one box...
Well look at the BH mods for its pistol branch (and only the pistol branch) +50 accuracy and +50 speed...
Which is higher then the Pistoleers accuracy and speed......
Also lets look at our specials...Eye shot, bleeding, and torso shot....
Comparitvly its about the same amount as you have on one tree....
Advantages pistoleers have however is...
Defense mods...The BH has none...
Dodge...We do not have any avoidence skills at all, while all the other "elite" combat trees have some
Accuracy while moving...Accuracy while standing...Again for all around combat....
Now on paper this seems balanced, in raw skill the BH is better, but all around the pistoleer is generally better with his weapon in most situations.
So now why does this not work in game?
1.) Defenses are broken....But might now be fixed
2.) The accuracy negative for movment was not big enough to show the pistoleers special movment mod, which may now not be the case.
3.) Pistoleers specials are mediocre...
4.) Mind damage was never intended to be so limiting.
What everyone should remember though is the pistoleer tree has many advanatges over the BH pistol line...The problem is that those mods/advantages just do not work...That has NOTHING to do with BH's...
That and the mind pool thing, which from what Raph posted should be fixed...someday...
Now you can do 11,000 damage with an LLC! haha I just stocked up on a few of those tonight.
Please do not lie to make your argument sound better...I have LLC 3 and I can not even get 1/3 of 11k damage with a Damage sliced master made LLC cannon...
The misinformation on these boards is rampent....
What isnt very professional, that I dont like that the game is pandering to Bounty hunters. First of Im not paid so professional doesnt even apply. Secondly like I said I dont hate bounty hunters but I do get tired of hearing them complain when they are one of the most uber classes in the game and have more skills,and content then any other profession.

Well, I don't believe the game is pandering to BH's, But I do believe that the smuggler class needs a lot of work, and i'll just bet that most BH's would agree with this and support it.
As far as Pistoleers go, I would hope that you could understand that we're so fed up with pistoleers screaming nerf, that it would be a long time before we could offer any kind of support, a very long time.
BTW: The LLC did need to be fixed. Was this patch the proper fix? No. There's several issues with the LLC that the dev's did nothing about. The game is still treating it as a melee weapon, even though it is ranged. It is receiving melee modifiers on specials, when it shouldn't be, and they probably over did it just a bit with the specials.
For the moment, it sort of works in our favor. That is not our fault, but i'm sure we'll take advantage of it for as long as it lasts. (which i'm sure, won't be long.)
I'm sure the developers will freak out, and nerf it again. Instead of fixing the real problem, with it being treated as a melee weapon and getting melee modifiers, and then seeing how it balances out, and making changes from there.
Oh come on. BHs have as many mods as a pistoleer dont even bother bringing up defense it doesnt work. Also you have as many mods as a carbineer, also you have the LLC that can single shot kill in PvP now, also you have eyeshot, a fire DOT, KDs, dizzy, blind and posture changes. You have one of the best pistols in the game that is only usable by bounty hunters you have a rifle thats better then anything rifleman have.
You have missions that let you roleplay bounty hunter, You have droids that help you. I am seriously thinking of creating a BH on another server just So I can have some content in this game. Again trying to say bounty hunters arnt uber and dont have the best stuff in the game is to just lie to your self.No offense meant.

The problem with BH's (besides the overall problem of mind damage) is not that they are to strong, its that everything that is unirque to the pistoleer is broken.....
Also yes your right the LLC problems were not fixed, if your refering to the 11k damage screen shot then let me tell you hot it was done...
1.) The LLC specials are on meelee modifiers, the Captain in that picture was probably holding a rifle, which gave a higher meelee modifier...
2.) He was forced to prone (by a KD) Which again increased the damage modifer....
Is it right? No...Can that be done in PvP, not very likley...
LLC's still do need to be fixed....I agree.
But bringing up the carbine skills...You know all but one of our carbine skills was knock down, so in effect our whole carbine tree just got gimped with the patch...
Also...As pertaining to the skill mods
BH's recieve one accurace and speed mods...that is all...thats it...nothing else.....
Directly comparing our accuracy and speed skill mods to a pistoleers or carbineers is flawed, because then you fail to mention all the defenses and other skill mods they get...
The underlying problem is simple those skill mods do not work.
If those skill mods were fixed, and when mind damage is fixed, I think things will be alot better balanced, the only thing that should change is tweaks in the pistoleers specials (They do need work I understand that guys =()
Other then that, yes smuggler needs to be looked at especially in liue of todays changes....
But besides eye shot, how any of you say a BH is super leet uber is beyond me...
btw...BH missions is a glorfied more expensive destroy mission...Let me detail the steps...
1.) Go to the terminal...
2.) Turn around and talk to the informant (which has his head clearly marked as the informant 
, yah thats content)
3.) Hit the droid find button .
4.) Buy a ticket to wherever...
5.) Again hit the droid find button...
5.) Follow the waypoint to your "destroy missions"....The diffrence between that and newbie destroy missions 001? Steps 2-5...none of which are intresting or exciting...The marks never see us coming...Its always the same....Bleh its baisicly a longer cookie cut destroy mission...
Because the pay out sure as hell is not better then doing destroy missions lol .

I am so tired of BHs complaining when half the game was designed specificly for them. I',m a smuggler but I dont get to smuggle anything. Im a pistoleer but a BH will kill me everytime in a pistol battle. And after all that they have enought points left to be a good self healing medic or they can take pistoleer and have more weapon mods then any other class in the game. our corespondent quit when the profession sucked. Now, now you are in for it. BH are the strongest class and should be. The rest of you should piss off.

Give me a break. BH not only has eyeshot, but it has torso shot and more speed plus the same accuracy as a Master Pistoleer. Those four boxes are WAY better than the entire Pistoleer tree. Plus you have four awesome carbine boxes ... Fire Knockdown kicks butt, and you get a ranged knockdown (Underhand) one box up from Novice. Don't try telling me these moves suck, because I have them myself and usethem a lot. Both of them are WAY better than anything in the Pistoleer tree.
Ontop of all of thatyou guys have the uber LLC, which can kill players in PvP who are wearing FULL COMPOSITE in ONE SHOT. It takes a Master Pistoleer eight shots to kill someone who is wearing NO armor.
So don't come here and tell us you're not overpowered. Any ONE of the BH lines is better than the whole Pistoleer tree. And you have three of those lines.
Frankly I don't give a **edit** about BH. Stay in your own **edit** forums ... I want Pistoleer to be fixed so I can drop BH and still have a chance in PvP. But don't come in here and act like BH isn't by FAR the most powerful profession in the game, even with the Commando changes.
The amazing thing is that I just came back from the BH forums and they're STILL complaining! haha As Pistoleers we need to learn from them and follow their example.
