Hey Slore, I'd like to see what changes Jaegen suggested you think are obscene, just curious.

Should I make the BH visitor cry now or later when I inform him that I regularly incap bounty hunters in 3 shots?

The speed changeis exactly what Noules said, fixing the symptoms instead of the actual cause of it. It'll sorta balance classes out better short term, but it wont be any better at all long term. Like someone also said, rifles already get those fast weapons that have their base delay under 3 seconds.. what's the point of that then?

To put it simple.. If the system allows everyone to easily reach those caps, the system itself isn't very well thought out.

SloreMerker ,

lol. Why so much hate? Try to be friendly and positive, trust me, it works wonders in life.

You're kidding yourself if you think anything in what we requested is better than:
1. eyeshot

2. torsoshot

3. scatter pistol

And that's just the PISTOL line you have, you have 2 other combat lines plus the master line.

Look, our body shot 3 is 2.5 damge compared to your 3.0 eyeshot + blind, or 3.0 torso shot + DOT. AT BEST, we would get a 3.0 damage BS3, which would STILL be inferior to torso shot.

Yeah, we asked for a lot, but buddy, nothing we asked for puts us above BH pistol..and frankly, maybe that should change considering what Holo posted, eh? Said something about pistoleers should not lose to BHs in every situation? Hrm...

You are making things up, in a negative tone, that's not cool. Lighten up and dont' yank our chain on our forum with bogus conclusions. Be nice.

if speed mods from Pistoleers and BH still can stack, this won't change anything, just making Riflemen behind us.

I don't want to become BH, I don't want to be better than Carbineers, Riflemen, BH or dunno who I want the game to be BALANCED.

With any decent weapon at master pistoleer you'll be at speed cap.

Yes but who cares the gun is "decent" ? Just grab the best dmg one and till the speed isn't like 5 or so, you will shoot once per second with BH and Pistoleers speed mods.

Sounds fair ?

Yes, it's fair. If you spent skill points you should reap the bonuses they give.

Jaegen on most things I agree with you, but Holo never said that....The combat dev said...

"I am not 100% convinced that a BH should be better then a pistoleer in every situation"

Which I agree with, it is illustrated by defense mods, and special hits mods, which on paper make you guys better "Gun slingers"....Which should in effect make you better Gun fighters, but not better "Hunters"/soldiers.

This is "holo's" quote...Forgive me if I misword it, its not a direct quote.

"The pecking order is pretty good right now, classes who spend more points should have an edge over those who have spent less"

BH's were ment to have an advantage, however because of the broken things in this game, like mind damage, that advantage turned out to be BH being completly better then everyone, which should not be the case....

When global defense mods work, when speed is finnaly fixed, wheneveryones specials are balanced things will be alot better. Until then you really can not compare, or even speculate where anyones power curve "should" be....For all we know you defense mods grant you 50% immunity from everything .

You ask for disarm to intimidate. That would effectively make our specials (eye shot and torso shot) 1.5 times the damage of the weapon, giving you the edge. That would effectively give the rifleman a 50% less chance to do decent damage with his 1 in 3 second attack.

And another one that particularly got me riled up was the ask for health shot's damage to go up. If the devs would be smart and make it so that DOT's expired when the person who issued them was dead, it wouldnt be an annoyance. The stuff that you and the other one talk about, Iforget her name, her post topic was ''pvp and the pistoleer'' or something of the like. It would be giving pistoleers a 1000 health damage bleed apply in roughly 1.5 seconds.

Thats impossible to heal, as server lag would have to be extremely low and player reflex would have to be extremely high in order to counter the 1000 bleed damage that would be coming within a time frame of 1.5seconds.

I'm rather surprised at the overall negative response to the news about the hard caps set on weapons based on weapon type.

The developers are trying to make the distinction very clear that pistols are extremely fast but lower damage, and rifles are slow but higher damage. It is apparent now that the combat designer is finally aware that master pistoleers had a horrible damage over time rate versus masters of other professions and I trust that they will balance the DPS properly now.

I am quite happy about this news. I'm now awaiting the results of their implementation, which is quite possible they will screw up. But, I'm hopeful. I am curious to see what they decide for the hard cap on LLC's and commando weapons.

Personally for me, this does address the speed balancing issue. As a master pistoleer, just a few days ago, I had almost surrendered an entire pistol line, if not two. Now I will keep my master pistoleer and patiently wait for the changes coming that affects not only our profession, but all the combat professions.
