Thread: Pistol melee defence 2?
So really another redundant skill? LOL we need to get it changed to something usefull or up damage.. not as much as swordsman or the like but more damage
Well, I'm still waiting for Disarming Shot and MTPS to work too, I mean, they have been broken since release. We have reported them since release.
PMD2? Yeah, redundant crap, and if rifles/carbines get their way, they take less damage from melee, making these specials completely useless. The key was suppsoed to be that when we close with rifle/carbine users, we can knockdown, then hit them with PMD2 a few times doing lots of extra damage, and stacked with damage while knocked down. Then the action cost was raised, making it totally useless.
Either way, no one uses PMD2, and it's on our list of things to change.
Maybe in January it will be looked at, I mean, at this rate.
yeah it is a redundent skill, but if the KD on it worked then i would be happy with it, cause it would be decent dmg if there was a kd attached to it.
OK, so how about pistol melee Defense 1? Is it worth getting? I could just dump my combat xp all into carbineer instead.

If you stop attacking when you use pmd1, and if you are successfull, the target will indeed be knocked down. You can run away if you like. That's how I'm using it. Thanks to a little macro someone provided here for something else, here's what I use to run away: (mostly when I'm just trying to travel)
/pistolmeleedefense1; /pause 0.8; /peace;
Repeat if you fail, run if you succeed.
What was that about an "un-nerf" of KD? Huh? You're yanking our chain, right?
