I usually refered to this as the "stun effect".

When you knock em down, whenthey get up,they feel "dizzy" so the mobs arent attacking yet.

Well that's how I justified it.

I just got Pistol Whip 1 and decided to do my own test. I argo'd 6 Bull Ronto's (yellow to me). I Pistol Whiped them al, l then went in a circle and did, PW,BS2, HS2, DT repeatedly in order. Not once was I touched by a Ronto. A single Pistoleer SHOULD NOT be able to take on an entire mob like that without a scratch.

"Have you been able to test this on players at all?"

Yes, all my testing was done vs another player in a duel. Vs mobs I've also seen it, but didn't explicitly test it.

Believe it or not, this doesn't exist with BH Carbine (I tried)

Arg! I can't beleive you people complaining about this. Now the devs will do what they do best and ruin it and over nerf it and ruin the profession. Clowns!

What's the point in being Uber if it's cheap and takes the enjoyment away? That's the wrong attitude to have. If they fix knockdowns so they work as intended, then maybe a harder 'nerf' won't be necessary. Balance is a lot better than unbalance.

Wow, thats lame. Its common knowledge that knock down is ruining the fun of the game. Its ridiculous thatyou would defend it, unless you just plain suck and need a cheap exploit/bug to kill anything. Try getting xp the real way. Im master swordsman, and 4/5 of the way to master rifleman. I actually had to get hit and was even slain.I can picture you know without you cheap knockdown. A lot of things seem to stack.

Such as, when reviving a player several times in a short period of time stacks their groginess (Doctor)

So if somebody does it over and over again in PvP, the person revived cannot attack for a REALLY long time.

Best way to deal with the tall guys is to give them incentives to lick the ground. And dont look down on me that way youre not THAT taller.

OK, i know knockdown is not working the proper way it was intended, but i just got pistolwhip and i would like to use it for a little while. You've all had your fun with pistolwhip and now your bored. Stop calling for everything to be nerfed and let some new people have a little fun with it. if you dont like it give it up for a while. go play artisan or doctor with yourself. Everytime new players learn about a new skill or whatever it gets Nerfed, and we have no fun. I like the game , it has a little working out to be done but hey, its gonna get fixed. Annoyingly though, it has to be done on our time and our money , they should give us some incentive like another free month. whose with me? BTW how do you guys keep your mind up? my mind goes down after like 4 or 5 PW's.
