I know where you're coming from, validate away, it's what makes science work.
However, you DID make a mistake in comparing us pistoleers to the devs in terms of reliability. We happen to be correct, the deves are generally not. We have posted our findings and had many other people test and verify the exact same results. But still, it's fun to do the calculations yourself so good luck with it 
and you can certainly feel "more" certain once you see it for yourself.
Yes, AR is working neither as the devs published in their armor guide, nor in the response we got from a dev on the developer forum (that contradicts their armor guide, as befits their history of stellar achievments). However, there are some posts on this forum that study AR fairly well, I'd look for them and start there. There is "some" method to the madness, butwe think it'sprobably bugged and will be "fixed" in 4 months to something else equally broken, er boring..blast...
