do you guys realize theres 14 pistols in this game. theres only 8 rifles(including bowcaster)and 8 carbines

Hehe yeah i only bought a striker to warning shot away high heat/acid resist mobs but boy was i glad to have it when i saw those Nightsisters![]()
I've always been of the opinion that the pistol that Han Solo made famous is such a crappy weapon in SWG.
I'd like to see a high-end version of the DL44, that has a Master Pistoleer only certification. It would be AP2, have very short range mods, and do damage comparable to the better FWG's floating around.
Dunno... just seems like that should be a better pistol than it is.
We need the Republic Blaster.
Due to the broken certifications, I was using this post patch.
Base stats were 76-200, 2.6 speed, armor piercing etc. Got a nice slice that raised the damage to 242. More than a match for any scatter pistol out there, much cooler looking and sounding.
Agree. Dying to see more pistol certs in game. The Republic Blaster is an obvious one, I don't know why they don't just hotfix that one in.
Agree that advanced pistols should be higher up in the tree to discourage dabbling. A DT_Blast pistol would be awesome to have, as well as a higher end stun weapon (Tangler mark 2?) I think it would be unbalancing to have anything higher than AP1 but I certainly like the idea of Master Pistoleer getting dual-wield (lower to-hit but much higher DPS).

The DX2 and the scatter are silly looking....Republic baster looks like a squirt gun...bah.
ALL of the classes need a better selection of weapons as you progress through the elite skill tree and then finally hit master. As it stands now, all we (that being ANY combat class, save BH and Commando) are some rather crappy specials.
It is my firm belief that by the time you reach master, you should have acess to a MUCH wider variety of weapons. Personally, Im getting sick of seeing FWG5s and T21s. Makes you wonder why the DL44 wasn't a Master-level weapon with stats to match. Now it just kind of sucks. Either that, or the DEVs need to spank-up the components that can be used to make all the weapons, so that say while a Nov Weaponsmith was only able to crank out crappy striker pistols, a Master would be able to make some that were truly worth owning.
This game was half-baked from the get-go.

Yea and ask yoursef how many of those pistols are usable by pistoleer only. and of those pistols which one is the best. Hmm If I could pick up and use a LLC then it would be nice. or a flame thrower.. but no I have to use pistol, and not even the best pistol.. Give us a friggin high powered sling-shot jeez.
I'm on a crusade to get the SR Combat Pistol beefed up. It's by far the best-looking pistol in the game, but people rarely use it 'cos it's slow. I use a crappy Scout Blaster. Why one of the easiest pistols to get is also the most deadly is a mystery to me.
I bet the devs never even considered shots-per-second when they were making the pistols and the special shots - I think that's why our profession is so arsed-up.
