Thread: How is stopping shot broke
"You know the funny thing bucko, is that fan shot is still going to be better, so why do you care if our stopping shot gets a boost if it doesnt pass up our highes random HAM shot? I think you're both misinterpreting my intentions behind this thread..
What I'm trying to say is that if everyone was restricted to just one class...
then BH > Pistoleer in 1v1 PvP due to more efficient specials.
My real conclusion is that its the dabblers unevening things and making one class seem weak/overpowered...
After all once Fanshot or other Pistoleer specials get boosted...then the Pistol/BH dabblers will also beneift surely...
The only other thing I'd say about Pistoleers is that you seem to want every special in your Tree to be useful...
Now I don't think this is viable for several reasons.
a) Certain abilities are only meant to be used to help you reach the next blocks in the Tree and thus access better moves which replace the previous ones...
b) Every class has specials that are useless/weak/soon superceded - bleedshot in Pistol Tree anyone? FullAuto in Carbineer?
Every special useful? Man, listen.
BS1/BS2/BS3 = redundant..we are OK with this, but BS3 has to be better than 2, sorry.

Yeah, I think we DO need some freaking variety.
We want variety, not power, big difference. And yes, as players, we think it's BORING AS HEL* having the above.
So in other words a pure BH Pistoleer is fractionally faster...his only real advantage over a Pistoleer is his specials [targeted HAM + high damage+ blind + DOT+burns]
So in group PvE a Pure BH Pistoler IV and a pure Master Pistoleer are doing high damage at similar speeds, meaning they'll both get similar amounts of XP - if they wanted to be doubly effective the Pistoleer could use Bodyshots and the BH Torso shot to bring the mob down faster.
You do realize that +6 bonusrepresents 40% more damage per second, right? 284% DPS increase from speed vs 400% DPS increase from speed. Also, I notice that your specials are 3x damage modifiers. At +74 speed, a Master Pistoleer is still stuck with either a targeted HAM shot of 2.5x damage modifier at best (that would be BS3with a nice fast pistol) or a random HAM attack. So you would be killing anythingwith mind damage 70% faster than the Master Pistoleer can with the same gun, and his damage is healable. Of course, you could also use a scatter if you like to further widen the gap. Or spend 6 skill points and grab novice Pistoleer. Widens the gap to cause double the DPS of the Novice Pistoleer.
So, in your example, for every 100xp you earn in PvE, the Master Pistoleer is earning 60xp. Assuming again you stoop to his level and use a Scout or a DX2.
This topic reffers exactly toa post ive already made, SS is broke in a way that it wont do the same damage in PVE VS PVP.
in PVE you will do 1k+ damage, on another hand you will be lucky if you do 200 in PVP . There's no balance imo in SS since the last major pisto nerf in a PVE vs PVP environement. Needs to be a tuning here.
Im just curious on why even a BH is allowed to use Pistoleer skills with a BH weapon?!?!? A pistoleer can't use a Scatter Pistol, so why should a BH have the ability to use his Scatter Pistol with any Pistoleer skills!?!?!
I would assume this is a low priority bug to get rid of.... but none the less, its something that should be fixed!
