If you want to be a master at pistols...just take bounty hunter.

Thats all you need nothing ele. Once you have the bounty hunter pistol line, you own everyone else who doesn't.

Pistoleer is a joke.

Grexor, your argument is fundamentally flawed in that the cello is not a guitar and vice versa.A scatter pistolis a pistol, and therefore, a master pistoleer should have access to it, and be better at pistols than anyone, hands freekin' down.A class that spends 9 skill boxes in a weapon should not be better than a class that spends a potential 18 in that same weapon. It is illogical, and unreasonable.

Davidyour argument is being nit picky on minor details in an attempt to undermine the basic gyst of what he is saying which you no to be true. Amastergunfighter is the best at using his weapons well in a variety of situations. The big problem is the perception of being a master of something. Master != best at EVERYTHING with a certain weapon. Master = best at adapting a weapon to a situation. Thats why a BH is not a master with a pistol and is not even close, they can't adapt the pistol to any situation, they require multiple weapons to acheive the same flexibility a gunfighter has with pistol. Its not all about damage, its all about useability and the pistoleer has the BH beat hands down.

Perfectly said bleda....

If the defneses worked correctly, and when mind damage is fixed...Your going to see something

Pistoleers will be the masters of Gun fighting.....While BH's will be the best a shooting....

A gun fighter or a "trick shot" as we call them (pistoleers), are a ton diffrent then a marksmen (A BH)...

Both are amazing with their weapons, one however knows how to use his weapon in any way possisble, while the other knows how to use his weapon in the most effective straight forward way...

This is done well on paper...The problem is all the pistoleer skill mods are freaking broken to hell.

If +30 VS knockdown=30% resistence to knock down that would go a LONG way in boosting the pistoleer tree..

Upon rethinking it, you are right David665. My example should have compared a classical guitar player to an electric guitar. Both are guitarists, but the styles used by each are different. A classical guitarist with no training in electric techniques will not be able to play with the skill of someone who uses a pick, and vice versa, someone who only plays with a pick cannot play in a classical style.

Yeah and to be the master of creatures I suppose I should just go 4 4 0 0 in CH and put the rest into BH also huh? **edit** idiot. Master Pistoleer should mean just that: a Master of Pistols and all things remotely related to pistols. Same s*it different day, kiss my a** and call me Suzy b*tch.

Wow starlight01 deep insights on your part. If you were hoping to incite a childish reply on my part to match or exceed the one posted by you, your attempt has failed.

Your CH example has no relevance to this discussion. And I'll explain why. We are talking about pistol skills here. Pistoleers have some, BH have some. Last time I looked, BH's don't have any innate CH skills. As such your example while funny in a way you more than likely can't grasp has no relevance.

For the vast majority of the classes in this game they are not meant to be the end of character development. This is clearly illustrated by the number of skill points left over. What a person uses those remaining skill points for could either further enhance his/her combat skills or taken them in a completely different direction (entertainer/crafter/etc.).
