Thread: Novice Pistoleer: How do I get better destroy missions?

Actually, I would love to be able to get your missions. The money and fp dont scale appropriately, so the level 16 missions I get now are MUCH more time consuming and dangerous, but dont pay significantly more. I can run four level 10's and make 2800 in the time it takes to run one of the harder 16's and make 2000...and I will get incapped 100% less. As it is, while I was working on building up faction points, I trained up my carbine until I got difficulty 8-10 missions and ran those with my pistol.
There's been some talk of being able to pick difficulty somehow or having a wider variety of difficulty missions, but I dont know what the status is.
It seems there's some variety with faction missions, at least out of anchorhead. I've seenlevel6 missions on the same screen as 24s. You can'tgo higher than what you have, only lower.Maybeit's different for imperials though.
Ok some good advice here, but I should clarify why I'm looking for better missions. I don't want any more experience. I'm stopping at novice pistoleer. I'm only doing them for the money (so I want bigger paying ones) and for the creature resources (I want more each harvest than 2 hides from a skinny Durnie).
Also, as I'm a merchant/hunter, I'm trying to stay as neutral as possible, as I want to avoid NPC's, not have them chasing me all over the place, so I don't take NPC missions.
A bit off-track, but about pistols - my current Scout Blaster is 1.8 speed, 81 - 153 damage. What advantage is there going to an FWG5, which seems slower but same average damage (54 - 194 I've seen). WHat is heat damage good for?
Also, what's the advantage of a DX2 - I can't even find any for sale.
Thanks again for the info.
The various damage types are good against those targets that are vulnerable to it. Examine the target before attacking and pick the best pistol for the job; scout, FWG5, or DX2.
Plus, once the armor piercing gets fixed, the DX2 will do more damage to unarmored targets and not have a damage reduction against light armored targets.

Mission level is also partly determined by the weapon in your hands. try equipping a weaker weapon and refresh the list.
