everyone with a decent wpn and decent + weaponspeed skill shoots 1 per sec. thats pistol/carb/rifleman. the only difference is pistols do the least amount of damage and have no AP to speak of. so the pistol is faster argument is really a bad one.

Not entirely true.

Special moves have speed multipliers. So even with a normal shot you may be firing every second, that isn't necessarily the case when you're popping off specials.

i have over 100 pistol speed and my stopping shot is 1 per sec. hell everything is 1 per sec no matter what wpn speed. i thought spec mods were irrelevant with a 100 percent speed mod. quick example.

what if you are supposed to fire your carb at a speed of 10 with spec mod. and you have 100 percent reduction on that speed of 10? how fast are you shooting? what if its 20 or 30 delay with 100 percent speed reduction? i assumed it was all 1 per second. if not then what is a 100 percent speed reduction? it certainly is better than a 90 percent speed reduction. and a 90 percent speed reduction on a 10 delay special with ariflewould be what?

i could be misunderstanding how the speed mod works can anyone clarify this? thanks

Stargo is right, i have a rifleman friend that can whip out specials faster than me if he wanted to, however the rifle uses alot of mind ham, which he can't heal, so he. can only use a handful of specials. but those handful is enough to take down some of the toughest mobs, 2 tough mobs and he's in trouble.

"why isnt double tap a headshot i mean when cops talk about a double tap its usually an exectuion to the head right??"

When firing weapons in real life, you always aim center-mass. Anything else is just hollywood...

Just to clarify a completely non-sequiter..

As I understand it,Double tap in the real world is called that because you pull the trigger twice in quick succession. The idea is you aim dead center at the easiest target (always the chest). Then the second shot hits higher due to the way a pistol's barrel jumps up when you fire. Depending on how far away the target is, it could hit anywhere from higher on the torso, to the head, to burying itself in the ceiling.

And this thing about speed modifiers.. the + XX pistol speed is supposedly NOT a percentage. I've read several places that +10 speed = .1 off the standard firing delay.
