Right...so 6 fanshots doing 800 dmg per hit (200 in PVP) come out to roughly 1200 dmg. Now granted this is not targeted on one pool. So lets say MTPS does 1000 dmg targetted on the health pool. Now you are doing 250 dmg on health...6 times...vs 10 opponents...before the rifleman can get off his second shot. Okay, now we have 2 pistoleers...now we have 4....one vs one pistoleer will not own everyone. Grouped...pistoleer will own the world. How will opposing medics be able to keep up with 8 shots per second doing 250 dmg to health, per shot, on ten people...meaning that 10 people are each taking 2000 dmg per second?
I know, I know, it may not come out like that, but even if its 125 dmg per shot that's 1000 dmg per second, per target. Solo we are just a branch, together we are the entire tree.

I don't get what everyone is so upset about, I mean its avery positive change for us, and for combat in general. Bolanos you don't think that Riflemen don't have delay timers on their special moves too? Pfft.
The speed cap per weapon is a superb idea for distinguishing the classes. They then can go on to balancng the DPS per class knowing that each which will still have its own unique style, while still having a relatively equivalent damage output.
I think its a great change.
Do I understand this right? Now the fastest a pistol will fire is twice per second...and the fastest a rifle will fire is once every 3 secs?
Or does this mean that the modifiers from pistol speed can not effect the pistol past .5 and similarly for rifle but to 3.0?
Even so, why would it be fair for a rifle to be able to have a damage of 600+ and fire once per second and a pistol have a damage of around 300 (mines 258 right now) and fire at the same rate??
Didn't the post containing this info also state that this change would allow them to create more powerful rifles since they would be slower. um, huh?!?! If the speed at master is still going to be once per second, then how is that balancing?
Maybe I just missed something here.
