Right...so 6 fanshots doing 800 dmg per hit (200 in PVP) come out to roughly 1200 dmg. Now granted this is not targeted on one pool. So lets say MTPS does 1000 dmg targetted on the health pool. Now you are doing 250 dmg on health...6 times...vs 10 opponents...before the rifleman can get off his second shot. Okay, now we have 2 pistoleers...now we have 4....one vs one pistoleer will not own everyone. Grouped...pistoleer will own the world. How will opposing medics be able to keep up with 8 shots per second doing 250 dmg to health, per shot, on ten people...meaning that 10 people are each taking 2000 dmg per second?


I know, I know, it may not come out like that, but even if its 125 dmg per shot that's 1000 dmg per second, per target. Solo we are just a branch, together we are the entire tree.

Well If they don't fix the delays on most of the specials, then the speed cap is kinda pointless. I mean if you pop off a stopping shot, and then you have to wait 3 seconds for the next shot to come off, even with a higher speed cap on the riflemen, they're gonna kill uspretty easy. But I think its a good start. If they lower the speed cap for us, and raise it for others, and then drop the delays on specials, and if necessary drop the damage on the specials to keep the DPS from being insanely high, then I think its a good starting point. Also if they fixed the dodge so we dodged about 30-35% of the time at master, then we should be much better than we are right now. Also we need a much better pistol. The DX2 is awful. We need one that actually works. Even if you have to put it in a level 4, or master skill box. It should behigh damage (relative toour job), and AP1, with semi low to mediumHAM costs. I think if they can actually come through on the suggestions they make and implement it correctly then i think it'll help significantly.

I've done a lot of target shooting in real life. It takes longer to aim a rifle than a pistol.

I don't get what everyone is so upset about, I mean its avery positive change for us, and for combat in general. Bolanos you don't think that Riflemen don't have delay timers on their special moves too? Pfft.


The speed cap per weapon is a superb idea for distinguishing the classes. They then can go on to balancng the DPS per class knowing that each which will still have its own unique style, while still having a relatively equivalent damage output.


I think its a great change.

Do I understand this right? Now the fastest a pistol will fire is twice per second...and the fastest a rifle will fire is once every 3 secs?


Or does this mean that the modifiers from pistol speed can not effect the pistol past .5 and similarly for rifle but to 3.0?


Even so, why would it be fair for a rifle to be able to have a damage of 600+ and fire once per second and a pistol have a damage of around 300 (mines 258 right now) and fire at the same rate??


Didn't the post containing this info also state that this change would allow them to create more powerful rifles since they would be slower. um, huh?!?! If the speed at master is still going to be once per second, then how is that balancing?

Yes, they are saying that a rifle will be speed capped at 1 shot per 3 sec and we will be capped at one shot per .5 sec and a carbine will be somewhere in the middle. As it is everyone fires 1 shot per sec at master. With this change there will be a real difference amongst classes. We do lowest damage per shot but have such a high fire rate we make up for it.

Hey tough guy, maybe you might want to learn how to spell. It's ''whining'', not ''whinning''. I guess you could say im WHINING about pistoleers, but my WHINING wont do anything drastic enough to ruin the game like YOUR(Bitching Pistoleers as a whole) whining has done.

Hey man I am being easy, and I have read the threads regarding Eye Shot and The pistol changes. I must say the latter **edit** near made me throw up, it was sickening. The things jaeger was asking for was utterly obscene. I swear if you guys get even half of the changes he was asking for,(mind you this isnt skill fixing, its uber skill buffing, the pistoleer should just be renamed ''pvp superman'' or something of the like. But as much as all of you will deny it, you want the pistoleer to be the ultimate pvp class. Even though you spend 92 points to master it, you dont want anything else to remotely even be able to hold a candle to it. Think it over man, and then see why its easy to get agitated.

I've asctually done no such whining about the profession slore, check thru some of my posts around and you'll see.Of course you don't even understand what's wrong with the job since you are 1) not one of us and 2) are obviously too ignorant to read fully documented problems some people have tested this stuff on our job class. Thus you really do nothing but insult yourself. As for my spelling errors. That little crack pretty much nullifyed any of your points. I'll be nice enough to enlighten you. This board has no edit function. So spelling mistakes happen. If that's the only retort you can come up with against me your pretty pathetic for a forum troll. Might want to go pratice more.
