Thread: You lose 500000 points of pistol weapons experience

Master Pistoleer is a breeze and here is how I did it. I went to Dathomir and soloed Giant Baz Nitches for all of my experience. All of this was done post Giant Baz Nitch nerf as I made Master Pistoleer a couple of days ago. Assuming each Giant Baz Nitch is 3k exp per. (That is what I got) The formula is as follows:

- 4 lairs/hour
- 9 Giant Baz Nitches/lair
- 5000xp/lair

(3000 * 9 * 4) + (5000 * 4) = 120000xp

You need 3675000 pistol xp to become Master Pistoleer which means that at this pace you can max your pistol xp in 30 hours and 38 minutes.

Assuming a 10/1 ratio between pistol/combat you need an additional 475000 pistol xp to finish the combat xp branch which adds another 4 hours onto the time to Master Pistoleer for a grand total of 34 hours and 38 minutes.

I realize that I didn't include time to train and stuff like that but if you are purely grinding here is how long it will take. I did it in two weeks. Once I finished the two missions I usually died back to the Dathomir Outpost and grabbed two more. I personally think they should take all xp for every profession and multiply it by 100 to make it harder to progress. Finally I was able to do 6 missions per hour towards the end of the tree becuase you are insanely powerful as you get closer to Master Pistoleer. Good luck all!

Why can't you drop one Master Fully and get another one again if you're accumulated the XP in order to do so? Maybe I should clarifymy question: I understand that you shouldn't get any XP back from an already learned skill after you surrender it. However, I think that there should be an XP cap on XP you are acumulating just because you don't decide to spend it right away.

So, in your example, I am saying why not be able to drop Master Pistoleer and immediatley learn Master Carbineer, for example, if I have gathered enough experience weilding a carbine to have sufficient XP to qualify for Master Carbineer? I still had to work at it just as much, only I was able to keep my Master Pistoleer Skills while I was acumulating the carbineer XP.

100k an hour is easy, even alone. To finally get master pistoleer, I did the last 600k in one day on Dantooine. I solod the voritor trackers and dashers, and howlers(all 5k xp each). Only takes 20 of these to get you 100k. And you can usually find a lair with only one outside at a time. I used a cowardly gurreck to tank, but they are slow, so can be done with warning/suppression.

now you mention it, what planet is best for a 0/1/1/0 pistoleer to get his pistol xp (solo, or with 1 storm commando or so)?

Sorry i didnt get back so soon...but the grand total for me within 24 hours was 550k in xp, but here is what i did.

Two Players ( total )

Me ( Doctor/Pistoleer/CH )

Friend ( BH/CH/Pistoleer )

Both CH 1.1.0.0 ( proud owners of greater sludge panthers )

Weapons: Dx2 ( max dmg 240 ) Fwg ( max dmg 343 )

Planet: Dantooine

Missons: seething bol or grassland voritor tackers ( payout 13k )

Creatures per lair 6 ( 2500xp to 3900xp a kill ) + lair ( 3000 ) = avg 21k per lair, per player.

Big Plus these two creature missons dont db you when you get incapped ( yes the red aggro grassland trackers dont db )

After all missons are done thats avg 84k xp....with run time and all it took around 45min to do a set of 4 missons, plus when running back we would pick a random heard to hit, making it 100k an hour.

So what we did was this we grabbed our missons and head out. when it was the bols they are weak against heat so we used fwg5. Sent the pets in (there are always 2 bols when you get there) the bols attacked the pets..applied bleed, used body shot 2, or double tap.(double tap might be random, but you are doing dmg which helps add to your overall xp intake). So those two bols are dead. Now i shoot the lair ONCE. two more bols spawn. We sick the pets on them and bam there dead. Then we sent the pets in to attack the lair, use disarm shot if you have it ( more dmg to lairs ). About half to destorying it, 2 more bols will spawn and attack the pets cause they are closest to the lair. just tell the pets to attack back and kill those bols. Lair empty, finish it move on. We would roll like this for a few hours. The thing is you have to have some that is able to heal the pets. I can use stim e so that makes a difference, cause i can heal them quick, heal us and have as little down time. ( when attacking grassland tackers we used our acid dmg guns his scatter, my dx2 )

Now did it feel like a grind...no cause we got really good at it, and would actually chat while attacking, plus goals seemed reasonable now. It requires alot to do it. But if you can pull it off it is worth it.

Well i hope this helps, you get money and xp...and its a good time, cause some times things go wrong and you have to think fast.

PS if you get attacked hit warning shot than peace, if it is still coming hit that combo again, should send it running.

Also like i said we got good at it and we were moving faster after awhile, it was just kill after kill. One thing that might have slowed us down, was i go ld a lot ( stupied router ) and a few times we just stopped and chatted, and last remember to clone just in case.( youd be suprise how many people still dont do that)

The cap of XP your XP pool can hold is roughly twice as much XP as it takes to get your next highest skill level.

The CH cap is 160,000. You need 140,000 for the level 4 skill in each line.

If you had kept reading my post, I explained the CH XP cap is +20,000 on the next highest skill level you have.

The cap is not always 160K for CH's.If you are a Novice CH, your next levels of skill are 17,500, that means your XP cap = 17,500 + 20,000 = 37,500.

Darkangelus226 you sould like me an my buddy hunting snorbals on LOK. Great xp and no DB. The trick is to pull one to you.....like calves first, then females, then males. This is an excellent way to gain xp fast. Would be nice if we could get more snorbal missions, but they seem to have stopped spawning. Ah well, I'll have to try the bols on dantoine, they usually incap me very quickly so thanks for the detailed suggestions.

I got Master Pistoleer on Dathomir from Giant Baz Nitches. I averaged 125k Pistol XP an hour. If anyone would like me to explain it I don't mind. Give me a tell ingame.

No offense but it would be wise not to post your methods on how easy you obtained all that xp.. The dev dont want people gaining xp too easy.. Hense the increased difficulty in some of the minor creatures on the great 13th patch and hense the latest patch for increased hitpoints on lairs.. They want it to take lots of time to advance in this game.. I mean the are charging by the month. I believe you I also can do that if not more on those planets.. If others dont believe you thats fine.. But post it only at your expense.
