I fully endorse and support your opinion YIF -very valid points.

This isn't supposed to be Neo Skywalker killing AgentSmithtroopers or ChowYunFatbacca spraying and praying with two pistols. If you want that stuff - go play The Matrix Online.

I'd rather have a fully functional, useful profession than have "twirly moves" or "dual wield".

Thishas recieved way too much airtime here for somethingso inconsequential to the profession and the game.

While it may not be essential to the skills of the profession itself, it would add something to the universe, in the fact that our title is not simple pistoleers, but gunslingers. It suggests a certain old west style to the profession, and I think that the dual wielding of pistols would only add to that. It's not so much about effect, as style and atmosphere, which do figure in to a persons enjoyment of the game. Some of us aren't only interested in how much damage per second we can do.

It would add "something" that was never a part of the universe to begin with. I'm sorry, just because one character in one scene of one movie did something, doesn't mean that we should ALL have that ability.

I'm playing SWG because it's Star Wars. There's already enough non-starwarsiness in the game - why add more? The "style and atmosphere" I want in this game is Star Wars. Not The Matrix, Not Chow Yun Fat and Not the Old West.

I can guarantee you that I'minterested more with "fun" and RPing in this game than I am DPS. Check the wesbite for the association that I lead for proof of that. I'm also interested in maintaining some semblance of the Star Wars flavor of the game. The though of every yo-yo who's watched a Chow Yun Fat movie running around blasting away with two pistols makes me cringe. There are far more important things to fix with this, and every other combat profession, before the notion ofdual-wielding even begins to be toyed with.

It has to be the silliest topic that clutters this forum.

Thats an interesting remark...

I'm guessing you never saw Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, or just missed all the parts with Jango Fett in it...?

Who said Dual Wield (if it happens one day) will allow ppl to use special with both guns ?

If only legit attacks and maybe 1 or 2 specials, it is clearly NOT overpowered.

I don't agree with argues here, Dual Wield can be a very valid option for those who don't want to spend their entire action pool to be efficient, just a question of choice.

And btw, the simple fact you don't agree never meant it can't be.

For those that, once again, are using stupid argues like "Neo Skywalker" and stuff, explain me why padawans can use dual saber while Boba Fett can't handle 2 guns ?

Good luck here...

Dual Weilding Pistols is a great idea.

--Just make it fair. Add a speed or damage nerf for Dual Weilders. Look at the obvious, COMMANDO's can do ungawdly dammage (consistant 1000+) while the best pistol in the galaxy will cost you a few million creds and have a max damage of 400, at BEST.

Last time I checked, Jango Fettused 2 pistols at once

Rofl great idea's amongst the dabblers who want to;

A) Twirl their pistols around.. Wow now that will be useful. Ok you can get one shot by a commando, mind poisoned by a combat medic, blinded and eye shot, set on fire, knocked down by a bounty hunter. The pistoleer response... WE

B) Holsters.... (insert more laughter here)

C) Dual wield, great our opponents won't even have to shoot we'll kill ourselves faster then they do with double HAM costs.

Wasn't Jango dual weilding CDEF pistols anyway? I think Boba learned from his "father's" mistakes and was a carbine man. Hmmm. So maybe the Sarlacc found Boba indigestable because Boba incapped himself using carbine specials!!!

It all makes sense now!

A fairly simple balance to duel wielding pistols would be either to have accuracy go down when you have two equipped, or just be unable to use specials with two pistols out. That way, you have twice as much damage, but no specials.

Bria-Varien: TKA, Pistoleer, Smuggler, and wanderer.

It's nice to be wanted, even if it is 'Dead or Alive'

"Teras Kasi are leathal, nearly impossible to knock down or unbalance"
"Facing an opponent armed with ranged weapons, high-level abilities enable him or her to evade blaster fire and close in quickly, bringing his or her enemy swiftly to the ground."

Personally I like the idea of Dual Wielding. Until I think of going up against a Dual Wielded Launcher or Scatter Pistol. Talk about ownage...

Lets get some REAL Star Wars stuff like Speeder Bikes or decent droids. Lets nail down "Star Wars" before we get to "It'd be cool..."
