Alright, from what I have seen on the boards so far, as well as speaking with other pistoleers, it seems that more has changed with the patch than was indicated.


Good news -- well, Fan Shot has become a little bit more useful...it is now cone-effect at the expense of a bit higher action cost


Bad news -- Pistolemeleedefense1 is now much lower damage (as indicated in the patch notes)


-- Accuracy (particularly while moving) is now much lower (also as indicated in patch notes)


-- ALL DELAY MOVES now on 30 sec timer (also indicated in notes)


Bug News -- PvP, pistols now do about 10% (if that) damage


-- AP is now evidently now completely broken (if Noules' research is correct, which it surely is)


-- I had a problem with getting stuck in 'attack mode' with peace spamming constantlyevenafter

Wow. This patch was just bad. No good news at all from this. Now PvP has a 150% damage reduction? Ouch. (I'm sure this is a bug)


And I hear all Pistoleer moves now are costing over 200+ action cost? Wow. We are now like Carbineers when it comes to action cost (hopefully this is a bug as well)

I totally disagree with this...Fan Shot definitely was a lot better before the patch. Now it hits MULTIPLE targets instead of one. Well, this makes it pretty much useless now. I was doing a mission where I had to kill a bounty hunter, who happened to spawn next to some hurtoons. I attacked the BH with fan shot only to find out that now all the hurtoons were attacking me because I had hit their lair. Great...the cone attack would be fine if it only did dmg to one target.

If a 'cone' only hits one target...doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of a cone attack?
We still have plenty of other single target shots to use.

I completely disagree again regarding fanshot, using an FWG5 Max Damage 212 I hit in a cone, doing 2050, 8700, 4500, 8070 damage, at almost same speed.... I'll take that anyday.

Well, it seems that some people missed the point...the problem with pistoleer is that all of our attacks were basically variations of Random HAM, Single Target...(excluding BS3) this is a step in the right direction in giving us different specials to use, instead of smapping the same one over and over again, every time...this gives us a little versatility...don't want to hit multiple targets? Use doubletap....or stoppingshot...or any of our other ten billion random HAM single target shots....or switch to using HS2, since it actually takes down a target as fast if not faster than fanshot ever did.


Oh, and for the person who said that he heard that our specials got increased in Action cost, fan shot is costing me about 20% higher than it did before...a little higher, but not an extreme amount


Any other notes about the new patch? Bugs? Anything?

I suspect the PVP damage reduction is a bug, and the devs are surely aware of it by now.


I am not so sure the fan shot change is a bug, and I am unhappy about it. I'm afraid it might be something we just have to live with until the next big patch.


For one, they need to fix cone attacks before they start changing more things into cone attacks. Right now it appears you can aggro things with a cone shot without damaging them. In my opinion, for cone attacks to beworking they need to consistently damage the extra mobs.They also need to not pull a mob onto you until they actually damage it.


When it works, having a random HAM cone attack will be nice, and will add more variety to our specials. However, we needed another of our random HAM attacks to be improved before they messed with fan shot. Fan shot is arguably the only useful special right now above the novice box. I would have liked to see double tap and/or stopping shot boosted a bit first.

How does targeting a mob UP a hill, but wind up hitting a mob DOWN the hill make it a cone effect? Unless the cone is 360 degrees. They broke the shot, it is now even more useless than it was before. Random pool was bad enough, but was workable, now it hits a random mob as well. That's stupid. We HAVE a shot that is supposed to be for crowd control. Do they bother to fix that? NO, they go and BREAK the one shot that was even remotely useable.

In response to idunouduon statement about fanshot not working


Your statements arent true, i wont say they were false for you but to me they dont apply. I went in not knowing fanshot was a cone. Sent my pet in on 5 gurks, was picking one of them off like i usually do...all of a sudden, the gurk to far left dropped, then another and so on. Meaning i hit them all. I tried this many times to make sure what is saw happened. So the cone is working and it is dealing dmg to all ( for me at least )
