i dropped commando when it was broke now look atem, i dont want to make the same mistake twice.

do you guys think i should hang in there till the updates?

No offense Yp, but I don't see what there is to love. You spend a lot of skill points to get no useful specials. Aside from the speed boost, there's not much to like about all those Pistoleer skill boxes. You're usually better off getting BH or even Smuggler Dirty Fighting.

Commandos can usually be beaten by most non-Master ranged characters as long as they stick to using a Flamethrower, unless you're within short range. The reason Commandos are so powerful in PvP right now is because of the Revenge TEF. Otherwise they're better for PvE at the moment.

True that Philosopher1976 .

Pistoleers get nice accuracy and speed bonuses BUT their true power vs others such as the Bounty Huntersis that they have so much more skill points to devote to PvP skills.

Oh and if you're a Master Pistoleer/BH Pistol Line... then you can forget about healing yourself to full in battle or commanding a pet attack someone while you shot at them.

My only issue with Master Pistoleer is that the skills you acquire (Disarming Shot 2 and Multi-Target Pistol Shot) are totally useless. There should be some advantage to having worked your way all the way up. Thanks God I have the BH pistol Line also, (yes, I know that means I have no healing skills, which does put me at a disadvantage {especially when they fix Eye Shot}), in PvE I use Torso Shot almost exclusively because Body Shot 3 sucks and Fan Shot and Stopping shot effect random HAM.

My advice to you as far as hanging on to Master Pistoleer is to do so. If they lower the attack speed to .5 seconds (which they really should). Things will get better for us, and you can always get Master Commando back in a week or so since you deal 18,000 dmg if you decide its not worth it.

for me, master pistoleer/rogue with a GOOD pistol, ya commandos go down easy, as do most peeps, there are better templates but this one works for me

And +20 speed which cuts all your delays in HALF from what it was before you made master pistoleer.

I'm Master Gunfighter / Expert BH. Among my best fights are:

Scout Solos:

Frenzied Graul

Singing Mountain Clan Rancor

PvP:

Solo vs.Commando and his Grand Wrix.

Funniest PvP:

Novice Pistoleer, then his rock beetle and his probot.

I have been blown up by commandos before but if I stay out of their special range I have a really good chance of winning.

if i'm not mistaken revenge TEF has been removed on test center? i.e. commandos cant come up at point blank and point a flamethrower in ur face and say goodbye anymore

The only benefits in the pistoleer tree at all right now are the speed bonuses and Fan Shot.
