It has been established that neither Rebel nor Imperial faction make the Republic Blaster certification work. The next logical candidate is Naboo faction, and there are a few posts around speculating whether Naboo faction might get the certification to work, but Naboo faction is very hard to obtain.

So my question: has anyone out there with positive (or very positive) Naboo faction tried a Republic Blaster?

By the way, the only way I know to get Naboo faction is by killing Hutt forces on Yavin IV (of all places).

Cert doesn't work unless you unlock the FSS, have + Naboo Faction, killed 1000 Afarathu while AFK, found Lt. Lance on Tanaab, and last but not least eaten 2067 Bofa Treats....

The certification is broken.

It's that simple.

This faction stuff is a myth.

I have the certification. It doesn't work. It's broke.

A poster on another thread told me to hit the Trade Federation. I've been on Tat for a couple days so I haven't been able to test this.

I got a Republic Blaster from the guy who gives out Lady Valerian missions in the crashed ship/cantina in Mos Eisley.

i had bought a republic blaster from a weaponsmith in tat. The pistol had uber stats, but als, the certification is broken.

i've killed a few trade federation people, and it hasn't raised my Naboo faction, oddly enough if memory serves it raised my pirate faction.

Not that it will help the Republican Blaster problem, but the only NPC's I've found that raise Naboo faction are the Hutt Expeditionary guys on Yavin 4. But be forwarded, those dudes can scrap.

I brought up Naboo faction at all because some one in this thread:

ticketed the Republic Blaster and was told that he needed some faction standing in order to use it.

Anyway, this is quite probably false information, but if anyone out there have:

1. The Republic Blaster certification (most people seem to have this listed in the certification window but it does not appear in any tree)

2. 5000 Naboo faction

and tried to equip a Republic Blaster then we would know for sure.

Because Naboo faction is so hard to obtain (as the previous poster mentioned, Hutt Expedition forces on Yavin IV are the only way that I know to get it, and they are not a common spawn even there), it is at least conceivable that if Naboo faction unlock the blaster, then no one has discovered it yet because so few people have huge Naboo faction and those that do may not have bothered to equip a Republic Blaster.

But again, this is improbable speculation: do not fly out to Yavin IV and spend hours looking for Hutts based on this

so that's it huh, and you said they are powerful? I'll have to see if I can people together to find some, yeah I know it will be a search, but hey that's part of the fun.
