Well as some of you know, the Rifleman Correspondent is coming up with a list of suggested improvements for Riflemen at this thread:

This thread was locked for "trolling." I'm not sure how I could be "trolling" since I'm a Master Pistoleer posting on the Pistoleer forum, but maybe it was locked based on one of the replies, I'm not sure.

Well Jaegen responded to the original thread in the Rifleman forum, and the Rifleman Correspondent and others harshly criticized him. Now some jerk has posted a thread attacking Jaegen on the Rifleman forum:

I just figured I'd post the links so you guys can see what's going on. This is getting a little bit absurd.

My suggestion is for pistoleers not to go there and post. Let them have their say, but don't fuel the fire. Defending him will only invite more flames and trolls. If you feel that post is a flame or troll I encourage you to report it and the poster.

3rd link is a repeat of the 2nd.

Yeah I agree with DiLune. Think about this Bounty Hunter vs. Pistoleer mess. Heading to other profession forums will definitely cause flames and we will be viewed as trolls.

Sigh, and yet I felt compelled to post there nonetheless. I hope I was level headed enough. I'm not going back. You can slap me for not controlling myself now!

Posting "**edit**-stirring" threads (like this one) just fans the flames and does absolutely nothing to resolve any issues with this profession.As for your locked thread - I'm sure the reason it was labeled "trolling" because they couldn't call it "**edit**-stirring". I imagine this thread will end up the same way.

Let the riflemen post their wish list for uberlasers of death and gerbil-pruning.Let 'em scream "OMGNERFPISTOLEERZ!!!!". Who the hell cares?

Let's stay professional and keep the hyperbole and histrionics out of our discussions, and let'spresent the devs with reasonable, fact-based issues.

amen- we have our own problems to deal with, why waste time and energy starting a flame war, eventually beta will end and we'll all look back on this and laugh

Who cares what they have to say? I don't feel like starting arguments with other professions. Could we both agree that both of our classes are broken and leave it like that?

They're entitled to their opinion. What they think does not make Jaegen what he is.

I agree that we shouldn't post there. I was just pissed off because they are being awfully unfair to Jaegen. Like people said, they can say whatever they want ... who cares.

Well, I just read this thread, I didn't see the consensus not to defend pistols there, so I posted :/

Anyway, I'll let it stand after that, I've really said all I have to say regarding the constant and relentless pistoleer nerf requests to the devs from that correspondent.

I thought everyone was worried about fixing their own profession before balance?I don't know, I voted for "fixing profession" and not "fixing balance".Didn't "fixing balance" score lowest on the polls? Speed had to be fixed to fix pistoleer specials, just as it had to be fixed for all professions to know what they needed to be fun/effective. Yet we know speed is not being "Corrected" just changed.
