Ok so bounty hunter does take way more skill points.... hello they're a freaking one man army with those LLC's. Also us pistoleers may take less skill points but it takes just as many to make our profession as complete as a BH. we have to get either CH or the like just keep ourselves valuable(im a master doc). Anyway to my real point. Forget the skill points determining who should be better with a pistol. LOOK AT THE PISTOL AND COMBAT XP required. Ok a BH with pistol 4 requires 1,291,000 pistol xp and 70,500 combat xp. Now look at the pistoleer requirments for master. 3,891,000 pistol xp and 415,000 combat xp. Now tell me, who worked more on developing their pistol skills? Who deserves better specials, more speed and dominance in the range between melee and carbineer? Sure a BH should be a jackofall trades. But being a jack of all trades means you aren't suppose to be better than the person who specializes in one thing. Try and tell me im wrong but this is how i feel. Oh and this is all in good fun. just a game

You have to admit that having to use as many skillpoints as they do should count for something. There are a finite amount of skillpoints. You can always get more xp.

There's this misperception developed somewhere along the way that comparing BH and Pistoleers is possible. I'm not sure how this came about.

The game is centered around 250 skill points. This puts Bounty Hunters closer to the end of the journey than the beginning. Pistoleer is 92 skill points. It is fairly close to the beginning of the journey. There's so much more you can add to Pistoleer to round out the character that simply isn't possible with Bounty Hunter.

Yeah but they aren't spending all those skill points on pistol are they now? A bounty hunter has 4 separte skills they work through. The LLC could almost have its own proffesion. So anyway, in theory they are actually on spending a fourth of those skill points on the pistol part of BH. So you devide the skill points used for master bounty hunter by 4 and you 54.25 skill points allocated for pistol(i realize this may not be that accurate of a breakdown but do you get the point?) while a master pistoleer has 92 skill point soley for pistol. so again who spent more skill points specificaly on pistol?

i believe my above post is a good explanation of your point deadnewbie(ha thats funny). The breakdown of skillpoints and experience, in my opinion, shows that (using only pistols) a pistoleer should be far superior to a bounty hunter.

Oh and i support the buff food and spicefixing!!

Leave bounty hunters alone. They are supposed to be master pistoleers/carbineers/commandos 0/0/4/0(252 points total). They are supposed to be the king of PvP,PvE,NBC,ABC,VH1,MLB,NFL,ect ect...

Listen, i use to sing the same song as you about how Bh and pistoleer should be more equaly matched, i have a bit of advice for you now. Spend less time bitching on the forum and more time exp. your character. There are few who can stand up to a Master Pistoleer in pvpcombat, i dont care what profession they are. Im not even Master pistoleer yet and im a threat. +20 to speed is only going to enhance that. Belive me, its a tuff grind, but well worth the time in the end. I am 3/4/4/4 and about 1/2 done with my last skill tree and there isnt a Master out there i would be afraid to go head to head with. I can dish out more damage in less time then almost anyother profession.

So, expermient with your moves, lvl up and then come back to the forum and tell us how you owned 4 Rebels 4 on 1. Belive it or not they did a pretty good job of balancing this profession with just a few fine tune adjustments needed.

My newest build (for over a month) beats the hell out of master BH/Pistoleer/Carbineer. Maybe a master rifleman can kill me faster...or maybe not.

Oh, I used to be a master pistoleer too. Not bad defensive mods, but otherwise...

Master Pistoleer is more dependent on your weaponary rather than your skills. I have seen Masters i could take as a 2/2/3/3/ and i ahve seen Masters i still cant take. The fact is that just buying any old weapon just dosnet cut it, some of the max damage on out favorite guns ranges by 2-3 hundred damage somtimes. If you invest the time u may aswell invest the moeny, its worth it belive me.

a smart pistoleer will beat a dumb bounty hunter and vice versa. eyeshot is a little unfair however. pistoleer needs a flashy master level attack, thats all. One thing about pistoleer is they can be a smuggler too. Also pistoleer can be a commando. either of these combinations would be able to seriously put a damper on a BH's good day. mm master pistoleer speed doing panicshot+lastditch+lastditch+lastditch+lowblow +lastditch+lastditchon a Krayt FWG5 is a disturbing thought to any pvper.

Dubious, Master Smuggler, Pistoleer, Naritus

Here's my idea of a pistoleer and a bounty hunter.

The Bounty Hunter trains in using all types of weapons. He learns how to shoot those weapons because of this training. Therefor, he is quick and accurate when using all of his weapons. More accurate than almost anyone else. (This is reflected in precise shots such as Eye- and Torso-Shot.)

The pistoleer does not spend time practicing accuracy or speed. They instead learn different tricks using their favorite weapon, the pistol. The pistoleer cannot shoot as quickly or as accuratly as a bounty hunter, but that is not the pistoleer's focus. The focus is the support abilities. It is all these abilities that make the pistoleer more versatile than the BH when holding a pistol.

So what brings you to the conclusion that Bounty Hunters are stronger than Pistoleers when using pistols? I'm not a pistoleer so I don't have the high tier specials. Do all pistoleer specials suck that bad?
