I am so tired of reading about Pistoleer being weaker/crapper/etc etc than Bounty Hunter and viceversa. Come on hear give me a break! If BH is designed to be better than us so be it..its not gonna change and really who cares. If I was so worried about BH being better than me I'D BECOME A BH? duh get it?? clear enough?? if BH is so dam good ...forget pistoleer and be a BH and stop the whining!!!! I'm a pistoleer I want to be a pistoleer and I don't care if BH's can kick my ass! When I get tired of Pistoleer then maybe I'll think about being a BH until then....lets leave the bounty hunters to their own problems we have enough of our own!

Speaking as a 'retired' bounty hunter (1,3,4,4) I much prefer pistoleer... tactics are required, though you can still spam the specials if you want. You can also run around lots and look like you're really having fun.

Defensive bonuses looklike they will improve soon to... something that pistoleer is certainly better than bh for.

For me, bh was just.... well, a little dull. I hated the investigation side (really tedious coz all my missions seemed to be broke).

Yes you got to use carbines and the lightning cannon but as for pistol, I just used to end up with torso or eyeshot continuously - it was all just a little one dimensional for me.

Each to their own though, I'm not having a go at any bh out there - they have my respect, I know how long it took me just to get the combat xp to make novice. My hat is most definately off to you all.

A master pistoleer with a half decent weapon can knock out the damage as proficently as any of the 'uber' combat professions.

Example: At least1000 pts damage every second and accurate on the move as well, even a commando would be proud of that.

A master BH should be able to wipe the floor with a master pistoleer. Provided the pistoleer is only a pistoleer. Now if it's master BH against say master pistoleer, master tka and some smuggler then it should be an even fight with the pistoleer winning when things get into the 5m range and the BH winning at the 30m range. Right now this is not happening a master pistoleer can destroy a master BH no prblem this is just not right considering how much time it takes us to get to master BH compared with master pistoleer. You will say you need more XP congratulations but have you tried the investigation branch? It takes us BH's 300+ ours to finish ONE branch. This is not a rant at the previous posters and anyone can flame me all the want I really don't care.

I happen to agree with you, a pistoleer can destroy a Bounty Hunter, plus they get more skill points to do whatever they want. A Master Bounty Hunter only has 33 skill points left, that is not enough points to do anything with. The combat system and combat classes are extremly screwed up, SOE and developers must do something to balance the combat classes out, because its unfair that in a systemwhere a master bounty hunter isn't nearly as strong as a player with 3 mastered professions and using the same amount of skill points.

Cant say how should be better but my 0343 pistoleer(also a weaponsmith and not using his CH skills)owns my Noob 0121 BH. Eye shots OK but easily defeted with a decent Helmet and stoping shot and pistolwip are awesome with fanshot for multiples

Every class is unique and different.

A BH is someone who has a small window of time to dish out some pain before time catches up with him. Hence the sweet Pistol Speed and Acc. A rule I learned is if I cannot kill someone in under 5sec, time to either clone or use more advanced tatices, IE:either run, heal, run up to them with a LLC, supp. fire, <soon FKD>, run away from battle, cry nerf, enjoy the scenery, rob from the rich and give to yourself.

Anyway, BH are like Berserkers to me (no, not a brawler) Meaning we are all damage with no defense. And good damage it is since we are able to target pools unlike pistoleers. (until they fix BS3)

just be like me, be master pistoleer and go all the way up the pistoleer tree. Of course, this leaves you with only 13skill points left. oh well.

I bet that if I go Master Scout, Master Marksman, and Master Pistoleer spending 217skill pts,I'll STILL have MBHs say they should pwn me because they only have 33pts left. LOL! Their logic baffles me.

I would not say that I would hope it would be an even fight but you would slaughter me even if I was a master BH. I admit some BH's are...well...not very intelligent but I hope the majority are.

I am a 3-4-4-3 Pistoleer at the moment and a Bounty Hunter with the BH PIstol discipline filled can kill me with ease. Just spam eyeshot or torso shot. I don't know where you get this crap that a Pistoleer can destroy a BH...

i am a bh, and i can tell you how easy it is to kill one.

wear good body armor, and a really good helmet, that's all you need, then use stopping shot, fan shot, etc,

you'll drop the bh in seconds, as we have no defensive bonuses, and our specials combined with the armor we wear(most of the time) will do half the work for you in the 3-5 seconds it takes you to drop us. I've won fights against pistoleers before, (never a master though), it involved bleed shot, both healthshots, and everything else i could throw at him, even small furry animals close by.

Well, I am a Pistoleer/Squad Leader and I can tell you for certain that when I tell a kreetle to march then by Yoda he marches! When I fight against someone else we use tactics and one of us wins and one of us loses. There's my testimonial about how hard it is to be in my chosen profession.
