Thread: Need testers and test info for patch feedback
Great posts so far, let's see if we can get all these answered. So far I have:
1. PvP was reduced by 75% twice - new bug
2. Knockdown knocksdown forever (they knew this on the TC a week ago, not sure how it went through broken...oh wait, yes I am sure how it went through)
QUESTIONS:
1. Does PMD1 now do 1/2 damage?
2. Does PMD1 cost less HAM now?
3. Does PMD2 cost a LOT less HAM now? (Value??)
Do we even care about PMD2? Wait, don't answer that.
4. Do we want Fan shot reverted or leave it as-is.
5. Does the AOE not work 100% of the time as a cone? PLease be accurate on this one, if it's getting aggro sometimes but not hitting, I think that's the old/existing cone bug.
Why was fan shot changed even though they have posts and reports saying "dont change it"..could they have just fixed MTPS instead? Wait, don't answer that one either

It should be left as it is...it gives us a start at versatility, which is what this profession has been sorely lacking.I have done extensive testing and DOES work correctly...and for me it has worked every time. The problem with some people that have not payed close attention is this: It only hits MOBs within the cone who are CURRENTLY IN COMBAT WITH YOU...which is nice because it keeps you from drawing others into combat with you, which would result in you getting 'mobbed by MOBs as it were'. If you want to draw in MOBs that are not currently in combat with you, tab and fire until you get everyone attacking you you want to hit, then fan shot the lot of them! I think it's great, and it seems that most pistoleers who have actually tried using it in the way which it is currently designed to work seem to agree...once again, it is nice because it actually starts to give us some diversity in attacks, which we can use (once everyone learn how) different tactics with, instead of being a 'single special combat profession'
Flame me if you will, but think things through intelligently before you do...
Oh yeah, forgot to answer these two:

Yes and Yes..haven't tried PMD2, but then again, I have never used it
Sorry for not having put all my thoughts into one reply but I am busy doing several different things with different trains of thought.
Other things which have been noticed:
Accuracy while moving across the board has been noticeably reduced
Rumors that MTPS may be working now? I am not master pistoleer quite yet, can we please have a test on this?

A: Damage 'feels' about the same. Almost as much as PMD2. Kind of like the difference between BS2 and BS3.
2. Does PMD1 cost less HAM now?
A: bout 45 naked with a scout blaster. This seems like what it was before.
3. Does PMD2 cost a LOT less HAM now? (Value??)
A: Costs me 122 with a scout blaster. I would say unchanged.
Do we even care about PMD2? Wait, don't answer that.
4. Do we want Fan shot reverted or leave it as-is.
A: It depends on what MTPS is supposed to do. That being said, I think an area attack would be useful... if it worked.
If fanshot were to remain an AOE attack, I think stopping shot would be sped up just slightly, to make it more like what fanshot used to be (or a baby version of last ditch)

A: It appears to be able to draw aggro, but not cause damage until they are aggro. This sounds like the existing bug, and it is highly annoying.

A: If MTPS became a 360-degree area shot, that worked, that would be hella awesome.
4. PLEASE leave fanshot as an AE. We finally have some variety. Look at getting doubletap brought up to 4x with slightly better speed than stopping shotthough since that would make sense in the progression of things.
5. It appears that the fanshot AE only fails to do damage when it "hits" mobs that aren't agro'd. Probably should get tested more extensively, but that seems to be what we're seeing now. If it's the "old cone bug" that doesn't really justify it being broken, it means they need to actually fix it.

we have 2 ae styles at master pistoleer. why not fix thoes and revert fan shot to the way it was. fan shot doesnt always hit every mob in the cone.
Yeah I have mixed feeling about the new Fanshot... it is annoying when you move around and hit something else... stopping shot is just too darn slow and fanshot hits health pool a lot more... but why have multitarget shot then? There STILL needs to be a reason to master pistoleer... make doubletap faster and so it would be as effective as fanshot I'll be happy.
I just want to know why the Devs didnt say they changed fanshot... I hate when they give us suprises like that. And it's funny the Devs do the OPPOSITE of what we tell them to do/fix... I remember we wamted pistol whip 2 to have lower cost OR add knockdown. What do the devs do? RAISE the cost!!! No one used it for THAT reason... now they lower it again... and we tell them NEVER to change fanshot it's the only skill worthwhile thats really good we have.... what do the boys and girls at sony do? CHANGE IT...
Maybe in the end we are happy this time... but instead of doing the opposite of what we ask and fiddling with pistol whip 2 (just move on fro PW2, maybe fix BS3!!!) Eh I'm rambling again. But I just find it funny now how the devs reverse what we say. Maybe we should say we dont want anything else fixed... just screw it all maybe the devs will just fix it then.
I have a question. When you target something from the prone position it just wanders around for three shots. Does this happen with all mobs hit by the new fanshot or only your primary target. What I mean is, do they run up on you before you get your three shots or are they "dazed" like your primary target?
Either change fanshot back to how it was or speed up stopping shot. I dont want one shot that i just spam all the time but i liked having a shot that i could use as a base attack and build other shots round it. Yeah fan shot was overall my most used shot buti always used it in conjunction with bleed shots , supression , warning , stopping , bs3 , whatever.
