Stupid stupid stupid, where is the edit button.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Composite armor is vulnerable to Stun.

I found a few creatures are vunerable to Stun, IE Bloodseeker Mites.

What is A good pistol that uses stun? Is there one?

Tangle pistol uses stun. The stats on them are not hight but like you said composit has no resists to stun and some creatures as well. Versus pvp comp armor I would be more apt to go with an armor peircing pistol like a good dx2 if the ap1 is fixed on it or a SRcombat since both have better stats than the tangle but for creatures that only weakness is stun it works pretty good

I understand where you are comming from on the DX2 and SR. But the armor still has a 34% or up to 49% resist on the damage. So even if you ignore the armor, you still have the resistance. Where the Vunerability has no reductions and blows right through the armor.

AmI right? Or am I coved in Bathna Dung?

You are correct. The tangler is the answer to composite armor.

Just a little reminder though, Armorsmiths are starting to play with Layers, layers if done right will provide protection agains stun.

Since we are on the subject of odd pistols, How would a launcher pistol work against a turret or other blast vunerable target in the hands of a non commando? A turret is the same as an ATST I believe. Heavy Armor and 75% Resist to every but Vunerable to Stun......

Any thoughts? Or amI better off sticking to a Combat or DX2?

Example 200 damage from a DX2 -50% frommediumarmor = 100. - 50% for heavy armor 50 minus 75% from resistance = 12.5 Damage total.

Non skill Launcher Pistol 200 damage minus 75% for non skill???(not sure on that) = 50 full damage from vunerability. That means the untrained Launcher Pistol does 4 times more damage then a trained DX2.

Does it? I hope you know what I am talking about? I am totaly confused......

I use a stun pistol thats max dmg is around 175 dmg, completely worth the slow speed, cuts through composite like butter. RIS armor is coming,....BE SCARED

I really don't know what the explanation for it is, but I do know that Stun has special damage against droids. Take on a Droideka with a Tangle and watch the HAM dissapear. Maybe Turrets and AT's are just like Droids? same type of damage inflicted.

Just an FYI you can use HVM's on tangles too.

I ended up fighting a commando in full composite today. I whipped out my stun pistol and ALMOST beat him, until I accidentally got within 16m of him and he barbecued me

Hmm, I didn't know that about the tangle, I thought it was just another kenetic weapon. That is cool, I will need to get me one.

Im guessing the reaons behind it being good against droids, is because in the SW universe, stun is like an ion beam, which messes with electrical systems. It messes with the electrical signals in someones body, making them slump and fall over. So a droid, one big electrical system, is totally vulnerable to this. Thus, if they are going by that standard, ATST and any other mechanised thing should be vulnerable to stun attacks, like that tangle.

Yeah squid, you'd think that, but AT-ST's and turrets and stuff are often 100% resistant to stun.
