This says it all.. Its a waste of my breath to say how ignorant and stupid these developers are. Not to mention that my pistol whip / knock down as a master has a 40% chance of actually hitting.. not to mention they reduced the KD down time to 5 sec.. and the creatures may actually lay down on their screens but due to ping time and lag. the ones I hit falldown in one sec and are back up the next and stunned for another 1 sec so I cant run away or get any distance.. My god these nerds need to learn how to quick wacking off to porn sites and learn how to balance a game.


COMBAT


  • Fix combat spam so that armor that is attacked by a higher-rated weapon will correctly report back the damage it prevented.
  • Changed all delay moves to be on a 30 second timer
  • Sped up grenade throws
  • Added some failsafe clearing of dot states to help prevent the states sticking after the dot is removed.
  • Made AT-ST & AT-AT vulnerable to DT_blast
  • Modified turret armor ratings vs DT_energy
  • Modified turret weapon damage types (block=blast & tower=kinetic)
  • Fixed knockdown/stun exploit with AI by clearing dizzy state on knocked-down AI when it attempts to stand
  • Removed bleeding effects from droids and vehicles
  • Decreased unarmed move costs
  • Fixed bugs with state defense modifiers
  • Brought pistolmeleedefense2 (pistolwhip 2) cost in line with pistolwhip 1
  • Removed knockdown from disarming shot
  • Decreased knockdown delay to 5 seconds
  • Fixed surprise shot and change surprise shot so it doesn't remove cover
  • Increased vibroknuckler range to 5 meters
  • Increased movement accuracy penalties/defensive bonuses
  • Decreased cost of all knockdown moves <-----WHAT EVER
  • Increased damage of all knockdown moves
  • Fixed a problem that prevented several loot armor components from not providing their special protections.
  • Reduced the encumbrance of the padded armor segment.
  • Tweaked component loot values on armor segments and enhancements to correspond with changes made to draft schematics.
  • Fixed a problem with some loot weapon component enhancements increasing attack delay instead of decreasing it.
  • Decreased 2h move costs
  • Decreased polearm move costs
  • Fixed some bad Armor Piercing ratings on weapons. The T-21 has been set to Heavy and the Tusken Rifle set to Light.
  • Modified process for granting general combat xp (should always be at least 10% of total combat damage)
  • Upped combat xp grant range to 80m
  • Decreased pistolwhip 1/2 damage
  • Increased move costs for lowblow
  • Fixed panic shot cone size, delaying user, and not effecting multiple people

    I agree with a lot of sentiments in this post, I have seen many many games with infinitely better balancethan swg, so good that people (at the highest skill level)have been arguing over which race/team/species is best for years after the game was released (with only VERY minor patches).


    My personal view is that the people trying to balance swg are relative newbies when it comes to the subject.


    The multiple nerf and counter nerfs on the T21 and knockdown (cringe) are perfect examples of how clueless they seem to be.

    Most of those items have already occurred. Some of the previous update notes got in to these by mistake.

    I hope these were in different patches because they can't both be true at the same time since pistolwhip is a knockdown move:






    • Increased damage of all knockdown moves


    • Decreased pistolwhip 1/2 damage

    What is Pistolwhip damage compared to the other KD damages? Could it be that PW is/was higher than the others, and they are reducing it to be in-line with the other KDs (meaning, that originally our PW was 2x the other KD damages)?


    It just occurred to me that this might be the case...

    this is all old news. KD has been gone from DS2 since the last big patch, the timers have been in place since that patch, PW2 was increased (uselessly) in cost. All the pistoleer stuff listed here refers to patch notes from the last patch. They screwed up and left them in and stirred the pot some more, but this is all stuff that already happened a month ago.

    It's worse, because they accidentally also nerfed:

    Disarming Shot 2 now doesn't do AOE damage.


    PBOAE2 does not do AOE damage (maybe never did, I didn't use it early on).



    Neat, I know.

    Ah, didn't see that in the notes, but maybe it was a stealth nerf for the server. Happy to see they are continuing blithley on their way after they made it seem like they had a handle on the profession. I haven't logged in in a week and it appears there is no reason to in the forseable future.

    I "think" most or all of this is old patch notes. Not sure on PMD1 being 1/2 damage, but certainly a lot of the other stuff has already been done.
