Thread: what is the the best special shot that pistoleer has??
How much damage any shot does depends on your weapon, obviously, so you're asking the wrong question.
None of our specials are much better than what you get in Marksman, aside from HealthShot2.
Right now I'm liking BodyShot3. Yeah, yeah, everyone screams about how slow it is and DPS and Ham costs, but at Master it's a different story because it takes one second to fire. Plus only newbs go into a gunfight without at least downing a couple sunburns, because once you boost your secondary stats by 2000 - 4000 you can spam ANY special with almostno HAM costs. BS3 with a good pistol consistently hits for over 200. 200 damage per second in the health bar is a pretty good attack.

No one ever said that BodyShot3 is bad at Master ... it's finally better than BodyShot2 at Master with a fast gun. It's just absurd that it's worse than BodyShot2 in every other situation. I'd certainly use a targetted shot over Stopping or Fan.
Instead of using Tattoine Sunburn, try Doctor buffs if you can afford them. They last 3 hours instead of a few minutes.
My pistol is 77 394 and id much rather gamble with fanshot unless the first blow does like 600 to health and i wanna finish that off.

Fan Shot is easily the best move we get. With my 233mx damage FWG5 i do 450 - 1175 fan shots at 1.0 speed. Gotto love that.
Stopping shot has too long of a delay, but id use it if it stunned or something like it should.
But, as it is Fan Shot is the only move I use, that and health shot 2 and body shot if my opponent is getting low on Health and i just want to make sure I hit heir health from here on out.
As I cant really find any tangible numbers, could you just tell me what is the max you have done with Stopping shot and Fan shot, and what gun.. I have those two, but I mostly use Last Ditch, as I can consistently hit 2600-2900 each shot in PvE.. my gun is 64-350 FGW5

In my very long experience with Fan Shot the move will do a Chest Hit / Arm Hit more then 60% of the time, hit the mind about 5% of the time and hit the action the other 35% of the time. It is a strange thing because usually it will knock down the opponents health and then usually even out the damage with a few action pool shots. So when my opponent is low on health I just begin using Body Shot for those 200 - 600 damage health shots from their on out.
Stopping shot is probably about 10% stronger then Fan Shot, heres an example for you.
My gun is 41 - 233 damage. Fan Shot will hit from 200 - 1450 damage. Stopping shot on the other hand will hit from 300 - 1600 damage. But like I said the delay of Stopping Shot is MUCH longer then Fan Shot so once you get Fan Shot you will rarely use Stopping Shot. Also, Stopping Shot has the tendancy to hit the health pool alot, even though it will also hit action and mind on occassion.
How does fan shot suck bad?
I'm confused on that one. It's 3x faster then Stopping Shot and does almost as much damage.
