Pistoleer Archive

I for one think that Pistolers first and formost need a new pistol Cert...This should apply to Smugglers as well. While I know there are some issues with our specials not working properly and some other discrepancys with defenses I think a pistol cert would make our profession more viable as a whole. Some people are requesting twirly moves and holsters..All I think we need at the moment is a new cert or two enough to put us on par with the commandos and bounty hunters.

My main grief with the current status of Pistoler weapons is that Commandos get a betterpistol cert then pistolers. I find this quite agravating considering commandos dont even get specials to use this with and the amount of pistol experiance we need to atain to hit Novice pistoler outweighs the Pistol exp needed to attain Novice commando. Seeing as how I recently dropped Nov Commando and Master Marksman Along with all of my Bounty Hunter skills I feel it is necesary to give us a new pistol cert of SOME sort to be on par with the other elite professions!

Tsunami, they should be adding weapons regardless. It doesn't even need to be just pistoleers.

I vote yes too ! We need at least one new pistol certification, especialy when you reach Master Pistoleer.

There are currently more pistols than any other class of weapon. How about adding some pikes, 2h swords, brass knuckles, and maybe even a decent carbine?

(and yes, i'm a master pistoleer, with no skills in any other weapon).

You crazy or what, did you even tried to get Carbine or Rifle to say that ? It is MUCH faster, despite whatever they can say, I did them all and I can affirm Pistoleer is BY FAR the slowest.

Why ? Simply because you are doing much more dmg thus, you get your XP much faster. Simple as that, there is nothing you could argue against that. Try it, there is no possible competition here.

I would like to get some AP2 pistol but surely not something that will happen, just because it would be very unbalanced. We need more AP1 weapons btw, even with lame DPS, I don't really care...all I need is a QUITE efficient weapon to fight some mobs.

We don't really ask for only pistoleer to get new weapons, we just ask for new ones, very different. Of course other profs should get some too.

Atm, only AP weapons we have are DX2 and SR Combat (and the strange Republic Blaster). We are thus Acid and Energy AP1 guys...Both Riflemen and Carbineers get much better than us, so don't even try to tell us they are in a worst situation, it is simply not the case.

Actually, we can use all of the pistols except two (scatter and launcher). Personally, I would love to be able to use the launcher pistol (I m a BH/Pistoleer). I would rather we got more weapons and have them be better and then give us some more certs. To all of the people who complain about the number of weapons we have, remember almost everyone (Han, Queen Amidala, the Naboo guards, Jango, Quinlan Vos, smugglers, etc.)in the Star Wars Universe uses a pistol and most of our pistols have no AP and low damage.

So, I vote yes to another cert at Pistol Master or in the fourth tree, but I would rather we get more stronger weapons.

I think it only makes sense for a Master Pistoleer to be the master of pistols. Call me crazy, but we dont need new pistols we just need to be certified for any pistol in the game as a Master Pistoleer.ie. Scatter etc...

As for the comment about Pistoleer being the easiest..? Well its an elite profession and as all the other elite professions, it still does take some work to master. Plus it does not matter that it can be reached easier than other elite prof. because it should still be fair. Take the commando profession for example. Last time i checked i did not see any Master Entertainers running around with flame throwers or grenade launchers, the commandos are masters of a set of weapons and pistoleers should be masters of all pistols.
