Jump To Lightspeed Archive

I can attack the smuggler ship and disable it but i cannot attack the escort ships around it. In order to complete the mission i have to destroy the valarian escorts, but it acts like I am shooting a ship from someone elses mission, I just get beeps when i shoot them and they take no damage. I know they arent from someone elses mission because they are automatically targeted with a braket around each of them. I assume the game stil thinks i am on tier two and working for the valarians instead of jabba. I was just wondering if anyone had the same issue and found a way to get around it. Thanks
