I made Pilot 1/1/1/1 using the newbie Z95. Got sent to lok for tier two missions. The free Z95 doesnt have a hyperdrive, so time to put together a new ship. Fine, OK, took alot of advice from my PA mates etc. Got all the required bits I am certified for. But when I get the chassis guy to put it together, use the deed and head to the space terminal, the ship is listed but says 'No Reactor' so I cannot select it to manage it.

I've got two reactors in my inventory, capacitors etc. The only thing I notice is both ships I've tried, Z95 and Y-Wing, the Mass shows as 0/12345 etc. But the components I have, there mass would not add up to this figure. So I am pritty stuck atm, burning money trying to work out what is wrong.

So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Asz

After the chassis broker generates the chassis and you have it in your datapad, you have to use the starship terminal to manage the components in your ship. Select the ship from the first dialog and then click "Manage". You can't do that with the starter ship, but any ship you purchase or generate from a chassis can be managed by putting the components in from the Management screen on the starship terminal.

You can add the reactor, shields, armor, and other items you want from that screen. Good luck!

Even if there is no reactor in the chassis you should still be able to select the ship to get into the window with manage, launch, and travel. The only way it wouldn't let you select the ship is if it's not parked in the starport you're at. So make sure it is. Other than that I dunno what to tell ya, hope it helps.

After you "Select" the ship, you should have a screen with three buttons across the bottom- Manage, Launch into Space, and Travel. If those aren't there, you've got a bug. The ship graphic may say "No Reactor" on the primary screen, but the button to select it should still be there.

Hmmm. The problem is it won't let me select the ship at the starship terminal. All I get is the close option. So I cannot get to the manage screen Iam currently at Tyrena where I had it built. But no joy so far.

The Select button overlays the ship graphic on the window. There should be one for each ship in your datapad, including your starter if you still have it.

If there's no select button (or any button at all) that overlays the picture of your new ship graphic, I'm not sure what to tell you. But I've never heard of anything like that.

Did you have it built or put it into your datapad in tyrena?

It really sounds like your on a different planet to where your ship is parked.

It does tell you where it is.

Heh. Well, no harm done, and we've all done something like that. Enjoy your new ship.
