To clear it up, you are never forced to PvP, you just have to go into a PvP zone, I went there for fun, 1 ship, a NPC Gunboat, didnt even attack me

The facts

1. Master pilot is the last skill box in pilot.

2. Master Pilot takes place in a PvP zone.

3. If you want Master Pilot you must enter a PvP zone.

4. SOE said this expansion was going to be consentual PvP.

what is wrong with this picture? all these facts are absolutly correct, and it makes no sense 3 and 4 are not compatible, monkeys on the moon can see that why can't you?

EDIT: As with most problems witht he game it is with the players , not the game, easy solution is to send the campers a warning, they do it again, and they get banned

That's not an easy solution. You are suggesting that SOE should hire a bunch of babysitters to monitor Kessel, when they could much rather revamp the missions. Which would be most cost effective would you think?

Tell a PvEer how to master pilot without having to be in a PvP situation? I choose not to PvP and I choose to become Master, if I am not forced to PvP then I should be able to get the solution to this from you.

If I have all the choice I should be able to:

1. Get Master Pilot

2. Not PvP Ever.

It would be non neccesary to monitar kessel if the greifers got the point , making an example out of them would make others not do it.

i'm not saying it was smart to put a final mission in a PvP zone, I am saying that people think because of all the posts thatsay master mission makes you fight other players, which it does not

I thought the moon was made of cheese?

I have posted this in several threads, and I will post this here.

Move it to a PvE zone, with enough enemy NPC's on the hardest difficultyto make up for the lack of player intelligence.

I guarantee you that half of you will come crying back about the 5 NPC's that ganked you in a few shots30 seconds after you loaded.

Ok let's make this simple. If you fly the Master mission and you Feel someone griefed you, what does one do? They report it, that takes time from the player, the CSR and may not get resolved as it is the hardest thing to prove.

If the mission was PvE, no one would complain about being griefed by another player, that is one type of CSR issue done, gone. The player can only blame the game or themselves for anything.

SOE did not lie. You do not, I repeat, do not, have to get Master Pilot. If you *CHOOSE* to, you need to go into a PVP zone. They are not forcing you to do anything. It's a matter of risk vs reward. If you think the reward of having Master Pilot is worth the risk, good. If not, you can still pilot plenty of ships, and have a grand ole time, without being an Ace Pilot.

HELLO where did I say you have to get master? wher show it right there show me?

Which number was wrong? is Master not the last box? does the master mission take place in a PvP zone? IF, IF, IF you want Master do you not HAVE TO, HAVE TO go into a PvP zone? SOE did or did not say PvP was consentual?

Don't you dare put words into my mouth to support you little fantasy.

which is false then? I mean you just said you don't have to do the master mission, I agree but that doesn;t change the facts.

You are changing what SOE says. You do not have to engage in PVP. It is consensual. the only way you feel that you are forced to be in PVP is if you feel you must have Master Pilot.

The fact is, that you do not have to be a Master Pilot. It is a choice, correct? The choice carries consequences. One of these consequences is that if you want to be a MP - you will have to goto a PVP zone. Since you choose it, it is consensual. You agree to do it. If you don't you just don't get to be a MP.

Of course you would have to monitor Kessel to be able to send the messages to the griefers/campers. Making an example only works in a very short time period.

No one said that you can be a master pilot without PVP. SOE said (as per your own points) You choose if you want PVP. To get the MP you have to goto the PVP zone.

The fact that you want to be able to not PVP at all, and get the MP is not SOE's concern. It's simple risk vs. reward. you want MP - goto Kessel and try it. You don't think MP is worth it? Fine, you never have to do PVP.

There is no conflict.

But it isn't consentual PvP if you must do it to master pilot it isn't choice. Consentual PvP doesn't mean a consequence based PvP, it means choice, yes or no box do you want to or not. You can choose Master or not but you cannot choose toPvE for Master so the game is NOT consentual PvP, stop trying to pan it off as a consequence because that also doesn't mean choice so you still make my point. I cannot do the Master mission without the chance of PvP, so I am not choosing to PvP it is being put on me as a condition. A condition is not consentual, a condition is situational, thanks for agreeing with me as to being forced into PvP as a means to an end.
