TIE fighter got +/- 20K mass.

TIE/ln got +/- 40K mass.

In game the name is TIE/In, but afaik the correct name should be TIE/ln (small L, small N), and the ln stands for "line".

Yea alot of people confuse the TIE/In for a TIE Interceptor.
And it is a tad darker in color, But its just a regular TIE with some more mass.

Did some checks, and It's name is not TIE/In, it's TIE/ln (small L, small N), and the ln stands for "Line", as in front line fighter.

Do a google search, here a quote from this site.

The TIE/ln differs from the original TIE Space Superiority Fighter model in that its engines are 20% more powerful, its double laser cannons replace the TIE Fighter's single laser cannon, and the hull plates are of a darker hue.

Edit:

It got correct name in description TIE/ln, but the blueprint is named TIE/In, and it can be confused with Interceptor.

The TIE/In does not have double lasers in game, it is still a single.
You want get a ship with 2 lasers until tier 3, and thats a TIE Bomber.
The TIE Interceptor at the same level, is just a TIE with more mass nothing more.
