I was quite surprised to see Cinco talk about missles and missle racks for JTL. However, as a possible future shipwright, I think the ramifications are exciting. Weaponsmiths have rocket launchers right now that are limited use, 25 shots or whatever. However, there are so few commandos I doubt it is a serious form of income. I for one think some kind of ammunition or powerpacks for guns would have been an interesting inclusion into the game.


In all the flight games I have played, missles come in finite numbers and have to be replenished. I would hope that missles would be that way for JTL, and this could be a major source of income for shipwrights. Maybe we will finally have a use for that solid petro chem fuel.

Personally, I'm hoping they're fairly cheap and easy to make, cause you know people are just gonna pop through them like Pez

I am also hoping there are several types. In wing commander you had


Dumb missles that just shot straight ahead

Heat seeking missles - had to have a heat lock, thus you had to be on the tail of an adversary

IR missles - had to have image recognition lock, could be fired from any aspect as long as you were locked on visually

Friend/Foe missles - fire the missle and it went after the first enemy target it found, no lock required


Then there were also torpedos for taking out capital ships.

I'll hope they got a limitation on how many "ready" rockets/missiles/bombs/torpedos your Fighter can be armed with... And which Fighter can carry certain Devices...

This isnt a BH question but since I kno all of you I thought I would ask, I bought missles for my starship and made sure they showed up on the ammunitions part of my starship when I managed it, but I thought the right click button shot them but its not working can anyone help me out.

you need a missile launcher along with the ammunition. Both must be loaded onto the ship seperately
