I own a games store in the UK and rang to confirm that JTL will be out this week, wanting alsoto confirm the release date for 27th or 29th-the official UK Distributor was advised by Activision last Friday that the game has sliped until the 12th November in the UK! Not sure whether release date for U.S. has moved.
Perhaps a developer would like to confirm?

On Saturday I called EB Games online to cancel my JTL order. They said they couldn't cancel it because it was being packaged for shipping and advised me to refuse it at the door. This doesn't make a tons of sense to me but if they did slip the release, GOOD. It needs to be slipped.

if the release date has slipped in the uk it has nothing to do with the devs.
if it has slipped in the UK then its because the money grabbing head honcho's want to delay the game to be released for the xmas season, just like the new mortal Kombat on the PS2. its out in the US and has been for some time but the release is delayed here, just so that it can be an xmas season release.
play.com still says the 29th and they dont have to go through regulat channels as they are based in jersey(not new jersey but the island jersey)

But what if they are slipping it in the US as well? Surely the Developersshould informthe communitythat it is no longer the 27th as they state on the home page and that Publish 11 will not be going live on 27/11.

Activision just screwed the import of the game ontime.....maybe the vessel got lost in the middle of Atlantic, or has been attacked by some pirates....who knows

There is no way they would slip the date back now, with it being only 2 days away. If they had even suspected that it might need to happen, then they would have just waited longer to announce the release date. I imagine that the UN release has more to do with shipping regulations or something between countries... Of courseI am just guessing though.

publish 11 is already partly live in the ground gamethats what is currently causing all the problems.
but the game will not slip from its US release this close to its release day. the backlash of it would be too costly for all concerned, canceled accounts, canceled pre-orders, mass rioting and general all out anarchy

Activision publish SWG, JTL and all Lucusarts games in Europe.
I would appreciate people not flaming me, I'm just letting you know what I have been told by them. With regards to Game still saying that it is available on Friday, my staff would have said exactly the same up until 3 hours ago. But the are now advising 12th of November.
I did think that saying 12/11 may have got some US players concerned
