Because you only have one gun and the 2 bolts are only design.

i mean duel fire as in 1 laser at a time...like in Xwing alliance, Xwing vs Tie fighter, etc

I know, but as I told you, you don't really have 4 lasers in your x-wing.

You have 2 and the other 2 are only for design.

And if you want to fire only one of your 2 mounted cannons you need to group them into different groups using the "g" screen.

You will still see that "2" cannons are firing instead of all 4

The main reason is weapon speeds vary. You'd be hindering your offensive capabilities if you linked a slower ROF weapon. The Dev's avoided all that nonsense by just allowing you to shoot all weapons at their ROF. I completely agree this is the way to go.

If you didn't know who I was before I made this sig,
you're either unimportant... or Rivvers.

but they never fire "2" cannons in the movies...you can see 1 blast come from each barrel at a time...same as in Xwing Alliance, etc.....

because, like everything else in the computer world, they do just enough to get by and rake in the money.nothing more, usually less.

it really is too bad no programmer on earth can pay attention to details. would make them and their little minded companies a hell of alot more cash in the long run.
