If you want to PVP, just GO OVERT before transferring to Kessel!
That's it!
How hard can it be?
That way, you will be only firing on players who want to PVP.People who don't want to PVP can do their mission in peace without worrying about griefers and load gankers. Everyone's happy, right?

or they could just move the mission out of kessle and give 1 of 2 pvp only spots back to players who care about the GCW. you know, the WAR part in star wars?
or they could make it so pansies can just grind to master.
there's alot of alternatives that don't involve slapping competative players in the face. the game NEEDS areas like this one, not encouragement to spread out across the zones overt, hoping for random pvp encounters.
why not make deep space pve only too then, using your utterly stupid rationale? players can just go overt first, right? try thinking, really.
or they could make it so pansies can just grind to master.

They clearly aren't able to move the mission out of Kessel, since we've been asking for it since the start of Beta.This is clearly a compromise, so deal with it.
There is no encouragement to spread out across the zones. If you and other people want to make Kessel the PVP-fanboi arena, then nothing is stopping you. Just go overt before you transfer. That's it. One more visit to a space station, and you can go into Kessel and shoot other players, just like before - the important difference is that this time, you know the other playeralso wants to PVP.
BTW - "they could make it so pansies can just grind to master" just smacks of "I want to gank other players" .. non-consensual PVP has no part in this game, IMO

Seems reasonable, declare, give EVERYONE the choice. We as players can declare Kessel a PvP zone you don't need permission. Spread the word to your guilds and shout in the cities to DECLARE OVERT if you want to PvP in Kessel.

As an incentive to PVP there, how about PVP deaths in Kessel or Deep Space attract no chassis decay?

I like that... no chassis damage from PvP deaths.
I'm really neutral about whether or not Kessel should be PvE-only, but it I don't think that anyone should be forced to PvP for master pilot. If you want it that way, fine, but all other combat professions should be forced to do so as well.
That said, I *do* hope we get more open PvP areas in teh near future. Good post.

I like that, was gonna be a suggest I thought of too. PvP shouldn't really screw it should be for fun.

That's what I have been saying to myself all along. In beta I enjoyed a little PvP just to see what it was like. Thank you SOE.
