Thread: The forced PVP was brought up in beta. And there was a dev response.

Just suck it up and accept that getting master will be hard. This game is already too easy, and the Developers have installed a challenge. Get over it.

typical DEV ignorance at the problems that arise. Are they BLIND to what is going on? Perhaps they should try the missions WITHOUT uber items and ships and with only 4/4/4/4 skills. Then, MAYBE, they will understand what its like to get killed in one hit.

Oh and no /invincible cheating DEV's, maybe you should try this mission RIGHT NOW. With LIVE players. Oh and use decayed items as well since thats what we're all using from multiple deaths in that zone.

You want a sailed ship? here let me sink it so you HAVE TO DO IT OVER!

yeah im mad. this is game breaking. you can't have a PvE mission in a PvP zone. And i will stand by this to the end.

Now that you mention it, I think I recall seeing that post. But you know what? I bet they said the same thing, to themselves at least, about the hologrind. They are only hurting the game by keeping it there - sending people who don't want to PVP in to a PVP zone for a skill box hurts the game as a whole. It will drive some people away from the game altogether. I still think it will get changed at some point in time. I just hope it isn't too late when they do.

Cancelled 7/27/05 - I joined to play Star Wars, not Jedi-BH Wars. You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. You've basically killed the game for anyone who doesn't want the glowstick. Congratulations.

They had a chance to fix the mass system and make the ship certs availble for all players. Hell They EVEN had a chance to do atmospheric flight. I can't discuss that cause there already pissed off at my little stunt. But still.

Trust me, if people complain enough about something they will eventually change it.

Can you say Combat Medic?

Jedi System?

Combat Revamp?

GCW?

If a large majority of people dont like something and threaten to quit, Devs know they will so and so, write to magazines, online gaming sites, etc etc. Drop in sales is bad, no matter what the percent, companies take this seriously.

So everyone just keep complaining and eventually in the next 2-3 months when everybody is starting to get mad that they are continously getting griefed then the large roar of people will eventually be heard andwell....you see where I am going with this.

Let me guess who said that though. Tiggs? I dont even consider her a Dev, more like TH's secretary.

well for now, getting master is not that hard, here's my point (got master 2 days ago during a peak time)

make aggreements with opposite faction out there, those who are also doing their corvette, they usually agree.

most PvPers I met out there were single, I send a tell asking if they're here for PvP or mission, if they're here for PvP, I tell my group their name and they won't last long (you can die/come back for the corvette mission), most "real" PvPers being in deep space area.

you can't get the corvette alone, the smallest group I've seen was 7 people and it was our group, most groups are over 10 people, if all those 10 people get a name of a PvPer out there, believe me the guy won't last long.

Yes there was a quote as such, but it did NOT pertain to Forced PvP. It was a responce to players about the MP ships taking up a lot.

As far as I can see, and I looked very carefully, the Devs never have commented directly on the protests on forced PvP.

In 2 to 3 months this game will be dead.... Why pay 30 to 45 bucks more just to get ganked in hopes that this mission is fixed. They should sell a box of condoms with this game because most of the time the CUSTOMERS are getting screwed.
