Thread: Game crash destroyed my ship and CSR won't do anything about it.

Well, I was running a mission and the game crashed. I was most of the way through a long mission and now have to start it all over. I have a bunch of wounds and battle fatigue that I have to heal. Ok, I can deal with all of that. It's annoying but not that big a deal.
What is a big deal, my ship was trashed. Almost all of the components whent to 0% when they were previously undamaged. When I logged back on it spawned me in on the ground at a starport. If I had died in space combat I would have been able to repair my ship at the space station it respawned me at. As it is, I can't even get my ship of the ground to go repair it at the space station. I submitted a ticket, but the CSR refused to do anything.
I'm sorry but this is just wrong. I hate to come onto this forum and just rant. There is enough of that going on. But I post in hopes that maybe it gets noticed and fixed or somebody can point me in the right direction to get this resolved.

I too crashed while in space. I was fighting Black Suns when my computer just locked up (very rare for my machine to do that).
When i was able to get back into the game (took awhile, it was while the full scan bug thing was going on) i loaded back into the Mos Eisley starport, but i was in Yavin when i locked up. My ship's components were all down to 0%. Took awhile but i was finally able to get some reactor repair kits and other various kits just so i could get my ship up enough to actually make it to the station after i launched back into space. Very frustrating.

As much as that stinks, I can understand their reasoning. If they fixed ships for everyone that claimed the game crashed, then they'd be fixing everyone's ships all the time. I'm not accusing you of not being truthful, it just wouldn't be practical. They'd have to determine what caused the crash (the game, the server, your machine), determine it was their fault, determine what your components stats were before the crash, if they had suffered any damage before the crash, etc. It'd probably take a ton of time for every request, and in the meantime, you'd probably get your ship repaired faster by finding some repair kits for the reactor and engine to get the ship just operational enough to get in space to fix the rest at an orbiting station.
It still stinks though. This happened to me as well.

if you log out ion space you will log back in on the gorund. i think they set it up sop people dont get stuck in space. as for the wounds they should treat ejecting like being ko. the ship part i cant tell as i always repaired in space

Good news. After submitting a second ticket under the squeaky wheel gets the grease theory, I was contacted by an in-game CSR. He was not able to totally fix the situation, but he was able to help. I swapped out the engine and reactor for spares I had on hand and hopped into orbit. Once there he repaired the rest of my ship. While this is not a perfect solution, it makes me happy. Part of what made me angry was the fact that they made no effort whatsoever to fix the problem. Now they have and I appreciate that.
